(Season 9 Episode 7)
In Season 9 we are detouring from Australia and heading to France.
I am chatting with Artist, Caroline Jeppesen. In 2019 her husband and her took their 3 kids and lived in the seaside town of Argeles-sur-Mer in the South of France for 9 months. The kids went to school, and they hung out indulging in hobbies and some great rose wine.
She shares how she made this happen, the visa process, the great holidays they did from there and things to consider if you'd love to do the same (which is even easier if you don't have kids).
This is the last episode of this series.
You can find out more about her art at Instagram, TikTok and at Blue Thumb art: https://bluethumb.com.au/caroline-jeppesen

(Season 9 Episode 6)
In Season 9 we are detouring from Australia and heading to France.
You can get to the Loire Valley in about an hour from Paris... but it is big, some 800km long! It is famous for the gorgeous fairytale-looking chateaux but there is also a huge diversity of wines - but probably most known for the Chenin Blanc from Vouvray and Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre.
My guest, Cathy Henton AKA Loire Wine Lady on Instagram has lived in the region for over 20 years and she shares so much knowledge about the wines and the fabulous foods. She has some amazing travel tips and if you are in the area, you can spend a day learning more over a lunch with paired wines. For more information, go to: https://www.letastingroom.com/about/

In Season 9 we are detouring from Australia and heading to France.
The Languedoc-Roussillon region is along the coastline in the south of France.
My guests, Neil and Amanda live in Alet-Les-Bains in Limoux region, in between Toulouse and Montpellier near Carcassonne. They have a cottage for rent at www.ourfrenchholiday.com (and Instagram @ourfrenchholiday).
Neil and Amanda share stories of life in the village and how Dom Perignon lived here as a monk and founded the technique to make sparkling before moving to Champagne. The region is known for its sparkling wine - Blanquett de Limoux, reds from Maury and Boutenac Corbieres, and unusual varieties (including white wine, Bouboulenc).
