If you’re a leader in tech who wants to feel less overwhelmed, sleep better, and feel excited about your business and life, this podcast is for you! When Morgan Hewett and I met, she had left her job at Facebook and was a co- founder and CEO of Options MD, a health tech startup.  When we started working together she was building her team and company, and naturally was experiencing massive overwhelm and stress around this level of responsibility.  There were lots of emotional ups and downs, there was an underlying current of life feeling, “so- so.” Morgan wanted to get to a place of feeling excited and fearless about her business and life, and to feel that she could navigate it with ease. We started tackling her limiting beliefs., also known as the "stories" we tell ourselves daily that keep us feeling overwhelmed and small. The stories that don't serve us in being the amazing humans that we already are.  One of my favorite questions I ask clients when they share their limiting beliefs is to practice this skill and ask themselves: “Is this true? "   Then ask, "Am I willing to see things differently?” This skill keeps us from getting emotionally stuck, and helps decrease how often we feel stressed and overwhelmed. We also cleared energy and limiting beliefs from her subconscious that were keeping her feeling overwhelmed. My goal with clients is they leave our coaching container with the innate skill to identify their desires, go with the flow of life, and know how to navigate its uncertainty with ease, confidence, and excitement. And YES, incredible Morgan nailed this!
After working with a variety of clients across the tech industry, I’ve noticed that almost all of them want to learn how to get more done at work. I’ve also recognized specific challenges that come up for folks that prevent them from moving forward the way they want, so today I’m sharing strategies and tools to help you.I’m not teaching you a calendar trick; these are meta-skills to adopt that will make getting sh*t done a part of the way you operate. If you don’t feel productive enough, aren’t getting things done you really want to, or feel like there’s never enough time, this episode is for you. Listen in and learn about why other people’s expectations for you aren’t the problem (yes, even your boss!) and how to take control of your time and get sh*t done.
This week we’re revisiting the topic of overwhelm at work in a greatest hits episode. Iʻm peeling back the curtain and giving you actionable steps you can take to jump back into the drivers seat instead of feeling overwhelmed and stuck. We juggle so many responsibilities and tasks that work begins to feel hard and complicated; itʻs easy to overlook the real reason behind overwhelm and quickly find ourselves in burnout. If you can relate then I invite you to listen in as I break down why we end up in burnout and how work can be simple and easy again. Learn what you can do today to stop the overwhelm and start feeling more in control.
In today’s episode, we are covering a topic that I have been practicing for years- dressing to create what you want at work.Back before I discovered coaching, I used to show up for work in my home office in sweatpants. I didn’t get dressed for work and I didn’t consider how my attire might have been affecting my success. But I realized that the way we dress is a powerful tool in creating the results we want at work. Our beliefs about ourselves and self image are reflected in the way we show up- and that includes our wardrobe.Tune in to today’s episode to learn more about what your self-image is, why it’s in charge of everything you’re creating, and how you can create the results you want at work by the way you dress. (I even include an experiment at the end for you to test out the theory). If you’re a fellow sweatpants warrior, or you want to explore how to use your clothes to help you show up more powerfully, listen in now.
In 2001, during a period of massive economic uncertainty and layoffs, I got fired from my tech job. I was terrified, stressed out, and on antidepressants. This was before I learned about coaching and I didn’t know how to manage my brain or my thoughts. And then 3 valuable lessons turned this potentially terrible situation into one of the best things that ever happened to me. I went from self-doubt and fear to creating a life I flipping love.In today's episode, I’m going to walk you through the 3 lessons- how to borrow belief, build a cohort, and coach yourself daily- and show you how these powerful concepts can help you turn a time of uncertainty into a time of transformation. If you’ve lost your job or are struggling with fear, anxiety, or uncertainty, this episode is for you.
I am so excited to have my client Jen on the podcast with me today. She has made such incredible shifts in just 90 days that we just had to share her experience with you all! When I first met Jen, she was miserable and felt stuck in a toxic work environment. She decided to move forward with coaching even though she wasn’t sure what to expect and investing in herself was difficult for her to do. But the shifts she quickly made were massive. She is going to share with you her journey from misery to excitement, and everything that led up to her decision to make a complete career shift at this point in her life. She’ll also share her experience of working with me and the lessons that made the biggest impact. If you’re ready for some serious inspiration and maybe even a nudge to make a change, tune in to today’s episode now.
Hey Rockstars! I am SO excited for this week’s episode. This week, we are diving into the nitty-gritty on how to say goodbye to anxiety, self-doubt, and stress. I’m going to show you just how to replace these thoughts with useful, positive thoughts.Throughout today's episode, we will talk about how every thought in our brain is optional. Your brain is wired to do the easiest thing humanly possible to protect itself. I will walk you through a visualization exercise to demonstrate that the “Next” thing is not going to give you what you so desperately crave. You may be thinking, “I’ll feel less anxiety when I get this promotion.” Or, “I will feel peaceful as soon as I find the right romantic partner.”Spoiler alert: None of these external factors will contribute to your inner peace. It is up to us to get to a state of being where we are peaceful, powerful, and proud.
So often we have big dreams for ourselves, but when our brains don’t see any evidence that they’re possible, we let them go. We haven’t achieved it in the past so we don’t believe we can create it in our future. There are completely rational reasons for why this happens, but there are also many reasons why we’re able to overcome the doubt and move forward. When you don’t honor your vision for yourself, you rob yourself of the unique reason why you’re on this planet. Tune in to today’s episode to learn all about why we struggle when we don’t have evidence for making our dreams reality, what the cost is when we ignore our visions, and how to overcome the doubt and create that beautiful, joy-filled life of your dreams.

Welcome to part 3 of my 3-part series, How To Easily Work Less Daily, dedicated to helping you take actionable steps now to begin your journey to working less while crushing your goals. In the last 2 episodes we covered parts 1 and 2 of the series, the beliefs you need to have and my Get Shit Done process. Today’s episode is all about loving your life. Years ago if you’d asked me what I loved to do outside of work, I would have had no idea. The thought of spending time alone filled me with anxiety and I often felt sad, lonely, and wondered if something was wrong with me. Now, I feel deeply connected to my beliefs and desires. I’ve built a relationship with myself that makes me feel alive and I LOVE spending time with myself. A lot of high-achievers know how to work, have a few drinks, occasionally see friends, exercise, and that’s about it- there is so much more waiting for you. If your life is feeling stagnant, boring, and like there’s a lot of work and no play, this episode is for you. It is so important to be able to tap into your desires and the things that make you feel alive if you want to build a life you love. Tune in to today’s episode to begin exploring a life that excites you and aligns with your dreams.
Welcome to part 2 of the How To Easily Work Less Daily Series. In todayʻs episode, Iʻm sharing with you one of the most important tools I teach my clients: my Get Shit Done process. As overachievers, it's easy to find yourself getting overwhelmed with everything you have on your to-do list. Youʻre constantly busy and feel like thereʻs just not enough time. But what happens all too often is that when you take a step back and look at how youʻve spent your time, it's not in line with what you truly want. This process is NOT another time management trick. Itʻs a tool that gives you a way to align with what you desire for yourself and actually make it happen. You will learn how to reduce your cognitive load while taking massive action at the same time. This second installment in this series is a crucial step in making sure your results line up with your priorities. Listen in to hear all about why the Get Shit Done process is the tool you need to help you reach your goals faster and learn the steps you need to take to achieve more in your life while enjoying more time and spaciousness in the process
If you've been around for a while, you've probably heard me talk about how my clients are working less while crushing their goals. You also probably wonder about how working less could actually be possible for you. If so, you're not alone; my clients donʻt believe it in the beginning of our time together and I spent 25 years in the tech industry overworking myself because I also thought that was the only way. Fast forward a bit to 18 months ago when I started working 4 days a week while completely nailing crazy ridiculous high goals every year. This is one of the results my clients achieve over and over again through our work together and I want to help you get there too. That is why Iʻm doing a 3-part series, all around working less with ease. Each week for the next 3 weeks I'll be giving you a lesson to incorporate for the week to get you started. Iʻm also going to go over some obstacles that may be holding you back and what to do about them. If you want to work less while crushing your goals/key results/OKR’s, this 3-part series is for you. Tune into to todayʻs episode for Part 1 and this weekʻs homework. And if you want to skip to the good part and make serious strides, I got you. Book a call with me and letʻs get started- weʻll get you working 20% less while nailing your goals, and weʻll do it in 180 days.
Today weʻre talking about what happens when you donʻt feel like you have any control at work. So often we go through life thinking weʻre at the whim of other people and things: your boss, your team, even your workload. When we feel this way, we inadvertently add to the belief that we arenʻt in charge of what happens to us- that life happens TO us.But it doesnʻt have to be this way. In fact, a lot of the work that I do with my clients is getting them to shift to a place of feeling in charge and in control of their feelings and behaviors. Itʻs possible for you to do this regardless of the circumstances surrounding you.Tune in to todayʻs episode to learn about the spiral that often happens when we donʻt feel in control and what I teach my clients to do to take back the wheel.
This week we’re talking about what to do when you feel stuck. You know that feeling where you want something to be different at work, but you can’t seem to get out of your own way and make the change? There are lots of situations where you’ll know you’re feeling stuck, but there are also situations where you don’t realize it because it’s disguised as something else. Regardless of which scenario you find yourself in, there’s one question I recommend you ask yourself to help you find your way: What are you trying to avoid? Asking yourself this question opens the door to healing and moving forward. To help you I”m sharing a story that happened to me recently around being stuck and how I navigated through it. I’m also going to go over 3 things you might be doing when you’re going through feeling stuck and avoiding feelings. No matter what feeling stuck looks like for you, moving past it is the key to getting you closer to your goals. Tune in to today’s episode to learn what feeling stuck looks like, what to do when you become aware of it, and how to move past it.
On todayʻs episode, weʻre unpacking what it means to be a Belief Disruptor and how being a disruptor can help you to be in control of your reality at work- even in uncertain economic times. Weʻll also talk about how you tapping into and embodying your identity can empower you to show up boldly as a leader. If youʻve ever wondered what your work and career would look like if you knew how to rewire your brain and show up as the leader you dream of being, this episode is for you. Tune in and learn how to show up powerfully regardless of whatʻs going on around you.
In 2021 I set goals for myself that were truly impossible for me. They were larger than I had EVER imagined and required me to completely change who I was to create them. This week Iʻm walking you through what those goals were, how I approached creating them, and the obstacles I faced in the process. It wasnʻt all roses and sunshine, but the result was a 72% increase in revenue and a 20% decrease in hours worked. Iʻm also going over why so many of us are hesitant to create these goals for ourselves, beliefs that weʻve been socialized to believe, and the cost of not going after your big, dreamy goals. At the end of this episode youʻll have everything you need to take the first steps in blowing your own mind by the time December 2023 rolls around. You got this, rockstar.
In this episode my client Adelle was gracious enough to join me on the podcast to give you all a candid, first-hand account of her journey from surviving to thriving. Youʻll hear about her life before The Rockstar Program, details on why she chose coaching instead of therapy, the impact her work had on her personal life, the results of our work together, and how sheʻs doing now. Rockstars, this is THE episode to listen to if youʻre thinking about making 2023 the year you no longer struggle with burnout. If youʻre tired of choosing between your career and your family, if you donʻt believe you can be successful while working less, if youʻre at the end of your rope and feeling exhausted from trying to keep all the balls in the air, this one is for you. You got this, rockstar.
