Sex drive shifts. Moodiness. Dryness down there. As we age, these changes can have a huge impact on our intimate relationships if we don't talk to our partners and seek medical advice. Michelle and Shawn, nurse practitioners at the Yukon Women's Midlife Health Clinic, share some common experiences and explain how they can help.
Nicknamed the "divorce boat," the canoe is known for it's ability to make normally congenial couples want to throw their paddles at one another in ire. For that reason Carmen, a marathon paddler, insisted she would never canoe with her partner Crispin. Then, a last-minute roster change landed them together for the world's longest paddling race....

It was a dream come true: a property one hour from Whitehorse where Shannon and her partner planned to live along with their best friends. But then, a breakup throws a wrench in plans. Shannon explains why and how she ploughed ahead solo, and we hear about another post-break up adventure Shannon had that involved ayahuasca and cats. Lots of cats.
What gives you the butterflies—when your lover makes you dinner, or comes home smelling like chainsaw oil? When they accompany you on a dog walk or give you something special? Mark and Karen banter with Amy Kenny, journalist and leatherworker, about how we show affection in the North.

Does the pressure to orgasm take the fun out of sex? Former Yukoner Patricia Bacon, PhD in human sexuality, says we've lost our way in the bedroom. But, there's hope: she introduces us to a new formula for increasing pleasure between the sheets and puts Karen and Mark in the hot seat for some candid questioning.
In a place where driving seven hours for a date is not unheard of, Karen and Mark chat to a longtime Yukoner about the merits of long-distance relationships. How far is too far to go for love? Dana shares her experience being in an "LDR" and waxes poetic about the potential woes of "close-distance relationships."
For better or worse, hair removal and dating are intrinsically linked. Karen and Mark share crowd-sourced thoughts about this and hit the spa: Karen to revisit an experience from almost 20 years ago, and Mark to get all the hair removed from his "intimate" zone in the name of gender equality and curiosity.
The year after Julie got divorced was a time of reflection and self discovery. Then, she got her dating game on. The "divorce mentor" shares what she is learning along the way.

If you think adult stores are intimidating, listen in. Karen and Mark toured their neighbourhood shop, seeking higher knowledge about the pursuit of pleasure and asking all the awkward questions. Their guide at Adult Temptations introduces them to all sorts of devices and products ranging from novice to advanced. (Newbies, the "Humbler" isn't for you.)
Whether you're aware of it or not, you probably know someone who's a victim of sexual assault. Yet, it's an issue that's rarely talked about. This is one woman's story about the impact of sexual assault on her life and why it's time to have conversations about consent.
In high school, Angus and his peers were taught ad nauseum about how to use a condom. But what about how to actually have sex? Not so much. The 21-year-old says having sex for the first time was like trying to play a video game without the instruction manual.

Emilie Lefrancois was running out of things to talk to her therapist about, so she's decided to test out the Whitehorse dating scene. If nothing else, it will add to her repertoire of stories from Goose Bay, NL., and Toronto, centre of the universe, where she learned, among other things: don't date a comedian!
A cabin in the woods can be romantic as hell. But when it's -30C and the wood pile is staring you down, there's work to be done. For KB, chores come before love, although she does pretty well in the latter department too. KB shares tips about cabin dating and how the great outdoors can be a bedroom unto itself....
When Tara Klippert was growing up, her friends worried about typical teenage things, like how their clothes and makeup looked. Tara, meanwhile, had other worries, like trying to hide her disability. As an adult, she gained new perspectives about her identity and dating.
Pavlina Sudrich TikToks about all things hunting and outdoors, but also finds herself doing the not-so-fun stuff like cleaning gutters and shovelling snow. She thinks a husband would be useful for those chores.
There's no way around it: breakups suck. But Karen, reeling from heartbreak, wants to find out if there's a healthy way to process the hurt and move on. Of course, Mark has plenty of past relationship experiences to draw from, including a revenge scene straight out of a movie.
Leaving a party surreptitiously is pretty tricky when that party is at a house surrounded by water. And, speaking of houses, they’re uber expensive in the North, especially as a single person. That’s what’s prompting Sarah Frey, who has lived in both Whitehorse and Yellowknife, to pack her furs and move south.
Frisky is back for a second season! Karen McColl introduces new co-host Mark Kelly and they discuss the dating advice Mark has given Karen over the course of their friendship. Most of it involves using words.
