In this PSA Podcast, Darren Mullen, now former Newry City AFC Manager tells us all about bringing Newry City Back to the Premiership but more than that, back from its troubled past and financial difficulty. Darren has been at Newry City for the past 10 years and was a major influence over restarting the club after its dissolution. Darren gives us a look into what it was like starting the club from scratch again and learning how much work was actually involved at the start.As well as dealing with a newly found club again, Darren also had to find results on the pitch, bringing Newry City AFC up from Intermediate football, back to the Premiership and hopefully building a Club that can stay there.This is a man with passion, determination and tactical knowledge, easily seen throughout his career as a manager. Banbridge Town FC and Northern Ireland U18 Schoolboys Manager Simon Nicks joins us this week.  Speaking to us about his playing days, transitioning to life in Northern Ireland and the hardships that followed, Simon Nicks is a man who knows how to handle adversity!  Simon speaks about his time in management and his transition from number two to number one at Banbridge after the tragic passing of Frankie Wilson, giving a fitting tribute to his friend and colleague.  It was a pleasure to speak to Simon this week and learn more about his work as a manager and the life lessons he's taken from a footballing career.
This week, Stuart King, current Carrick Rangers Manager joins us to chat about is footballing career and subsequent path into coaching and moving up to the NIFL Premier League , the premier league in Northern Irish football.  After starting his career at Preston North End with the challenges moving away from home at a young age brings, under David Moyes, Stuart decided to move back home to play in the NIFL Premiership with Linfield, Larne FC, Glenavon & Ballymena United.   He began his managerial career with Ballyclare Comrades, then moving on to a club he still holds dear to him, Banbridge Town FC.  He was then given the opportunity to jump up the leagues to Carrick Rangers take hold of the prestigious club he still manages.  He's had highs, lows and everything in-between but this is an insight into his story, into his desire, his want, his need to be a winner!
In this episode of the PSA Podcast, Welsh former footballer and current manager, Matthew Tipton. Currently the Arts FC Manager, Matthew talks about his professional football career and his transition from life as a footballer to life as a manager.  Through his story, Matthew shows us that talent, hard work and sometimes a bit of luck is necessary.  Fighting through injuries the whole way through his career, he was able to play at an extremely high level and score many great goals in his career at Bury FC, Macclesfield Town and many other great clubs.    After moving across the water to play for Dundalk FC, Portadown FC, Linfield FC , Ballymena United and Warrenpoint Town, he fell into the next stage of life, his managerial career!  Matthew also talks us through taking a step back and understanding that we can't control the things we have no control over - some great advice for sport and life

This week we catch up with former Rangers FC, Linfield FC, Shamrock Rovers FC and Northern Ireland U21 player Lee Feeney!  He's played for many clubs along his professional footballing career, from local football all the away across to Australia!   We dive into the ups and downs of a professional career, finding out what professional football is really like!
This week we are speaking to Richard Forsythe, a local player with a budding footballing career until a terrible injury stopped him in his tracks!  However, his love of football continued as he became a successful manager in the Mid-Ulster League!
This week, Cliftonville FC hero and current Lisburn Distillery manager Barry Johnston joins us.  Together we look back at the amazing success he has had with Cliftonville over the years, get an insight into the dressing room of league champions was like and find out the love he has for the club he played most of his football at.   As well as Cliftonville, he joined Coleraine FC for a stint and had a great time with them, winning the IFA Cup!  He tells us an amazing story when Martin O'Neill managed him against Manchester United - not to be missed!   He talks us through the transition into management with St James' Swifts and then onto the place he now calls home, Lisburn Distillery!  He's had amazing highs, incredible lows with injuries, but it was his win at all costs attitude that turned him into the successful player and manager he is today!
