Episode 12 is a conversation with chef John Yelinek ( @quartdeli on instagram ) He is one half of Pariah (@pariah.dining), recently opened Shelby in Detroit and is popping up every first Sunday of the month at Milwaukee Caffe. This Thursday Pariah is preparing a one of of kind event at Voyager in Ferndale. It is the TYEE TAKEOVER. They have put together 10 dishes that will be made from this 35 lb Tyee Ora King Salmon. Only 5 are harvested and shipped monthly globally. 

Episode 11 is a conversation with Melissa who is a death doula in training, metalsmith and jazz musician based out of Detroit. In episode 10, I sit down with Rick Brown, my father! We switched up for the format (he interviews me) so we can discuss my childhood, Hard Gallery's challenges/solutions during the pandemic and plans for the future.  Sharing some of this stuff with Downtown Ricky Brown brought up some interesting details and behind the scenes info--like how Hard Gallery got it's name.

In Episode 9 we chat with Problematic Black Hottie, a dj and creative figure based out of Detroit. We discuss how her African roots and living in various places molded her into the unique individual she has become. In Part 2 of this episode we give Morgan's brain a break and have a conversation about her love for ceramics, architecture and photography. Morgan is born and raised on the west of the state near Lake Michigan. She is currently in the urban and regional planning PhD program at the University of Michigan. In Part 1 of this episode,  Morgan and I discuss: how actionable steps are necessary for change, the importance of visualizing an equitable society as well as her research related to anti-capitalism.  @more_again_

Starting off the New Year with a conversation with Dev Will.  He's a Detroit born and raised vegan chef, photographer and film maker currently based out of LA. He has a publication coming soon entitled, A Break From the Screen. We cover how his creative career began during his internship at Burn Rubber and discuss the exciting projects sprung from those early connections. 

Episode 6 is a conversation with artist and designer, Mike Han. He discusses his journey as a sushi chef, art school student, artist and designer. Mike is exhibiting his first solo show on December 31st online at www.thehouseofhan.com In this podcast he also opens up about his creative process and love for hand rolls.

Episode 5 is a conversation with Paulina Petkoski. She is a designer, the co-owner of Playground Detroit, stylist, and Adjunct professor at Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, Mi. She has recently designed INTRODUCTION TO SUSTAINABILITY IN FASHION, the first course of its kind at CCS, a dedicated class focused on sustainability.  She recently created the Farmer Street Pop-up Shop for the holidays, a project she's been planning for the last 5 years. 

In episode 4 our guest Martyna discusses how she became a freelance designer and also an exhibiting artist in Detroit. We also cover the challenges she had to experience being a woman in the design field, a list of artists she is a fan of and the encouragement she had from her family to pursue a creative career.

Episode 3 covers a very open and honest conversation with a typically private man, James Adams. He opens up about his creative process, the bumps he had to get over, his inspiration, and the challenges he faces in the creative community.
