Hammer Horror changed the horror genre forever, but it all began with one film: The Curse of Frankenstein.
In this video, I explore how this groundbreaking 1957 film launched the golden age of Hammer horror and helped redefine Gothic horror for a new generation of audiences. Starring Peter Cushing as Victor Frankenstein and introducing Christopher Lee as the monster, the film marked a turning point not only for Hammer Film Productions but for horror cinema as a whole.
From its bold use of color and violence to its influence on later classics like Dracula, Hammer’s unique style reshaped the horror genre and created some of the most iconic monster movies ever made.
In this video we look at:
How The Curse of Frankenstein revived Gothic horror
The rise of Hammer horror in the late 1950s
The cultural impact of Hammer’s monster films
Why these movies still influence horror today
If you enjoy classic horror, film history, and discussions about the evolution of cinema, this is for you.
You have become the very thing you hated. Time is a flat circle.
Cold storage is literally the modern equivalent of Back to the future, Toy soldiers and Flight of the navigator. It is a silly, light hearted action horror comedy. It's peppere with little quirky details, deceptively simple characters and the kind if easily digestible thrills that everyone could enjoy. But this movie is tanking, and we are to blame. Audiences don't care about smaller, non-IP movies anymore. as much as we cry out for mid budget, clever original movies, whenever one is released we completely ignore it. It's all pearls befor swine.
Jacob elordi and Margot Robbie are madly in love, in Emerad Fennel's latest trainwreck. It is Wuthering heights for the Booktok crowd. A shallow and ridicolous adaptation of the classic novel. If you have any knowledge of literature, this movie will make you so sad. When will they stop giving Emerald Fennel money?
Since we missed the last free episode, we are compensating by making a SUPERSIZED special episode! We review nd analyze not one, two or three, but SIX movies!!!
Is 2026 the year of the Monkey? According to this movie, it certainly is not! Primate is a crazy monkey movie that takes itself way too seriously. no hijinx, no monkey business. It's all just dark and serious. Biggest L of the year so far.
Is Feeding Frenzy Red Letter Media's best movie? We take a deep dive into their 2010 Creature feature, the history of the channel, and why I think that Rich, Mike and Jay have created a creative prison for themselves. expect a lot of laughs, gasps and maybe even some tears.
ALERT: Because we rushed out this episode, there are some audio issues in the first half of the video. Sorry The 2026 academy awards nominees were officially revealed yesterday, and we just had to cash in on the hype, so we made an emergency episode, reacting to the nominations. Sinners keeps being the most overhyped movie of all time, getting the most nominations a movie has ever received. Hopefully, it doesn't win a single oscar.
How far would you go to get ahead? That is the question Park Chan Wook asks in his latest, and greatest movie, No other choice. A dark, surreal comedy about a man who decides he needs to kill his competition in order to secure a job. We discuss the incredible directing, writing and cinematography in this sharp satire on the modern job market.

We recorded this about a day before Netflix's aquisition of Warner Bros, so while the title of this episode is even more accurate now, we won't be discussing this. We are defnitely doing that for the next episode though.
It's that time of year again. When we come together and collectively show how much we absolutely despise Netflix and their endless pursuit to ruin movies and TV. We take a look at two of their new Christmas movies; Champagne problems and A merry little ex-mas. We brek down why they are not just terrible cookie cutter, second screen slop, but is actively hurting the film and TV industry.

We have arrived at the sixth extinction. This is the end. Wicked: For good is the worst movie I have ever seen. Not just this year, not just musicals. It is the worst movie of all time! What's even worse is that it will probably get great reviews and make hundreds of millions of dollars at the boxoffice. Humanity has reached apotheosis.
The running man is a fast paced sci-fi action movie that takes place in the dystopian future of 2025 society where the people are being blinded to their own misery by endless reality TV and violent gameshows. It is a fun action movie but fails to deliver its message... because we are already living in this dystopian future. This movie would have made sense about 10 years ago.
Chris Stuckmann has been talking about movies on youtube for almost 15 years, and he has finally put his money where his mouth is and mad his own movie. Shelby Oaks is a loveletter to all of Chris Stuckmann's favorite movies and genres, but is there enough of his own ideas in there to make it his own story? Does 15 years of reviewing movies make you a good filmmaker?
Halloween is finally here and we take a look at the perfect movie for you Halloween playlist. Dark night of the scarecrow was a 1981 made for TV movie but it deserved so much more. This deserves to be mentioned next to the greats like The exorcist, Halloween and Jaws. Do not skip this episode as we analyse this movie and explain the controversial ending.
In this episode we are talking about the 2025 horror movie starring, for some reason, Pete Davidson. We also take a look at the Swedish 2025 movie The home (Hemmet in Swedish) Starring Gizen Erdogan and Philip Oros. Two very different movies with the same name. Is there actually a connection here outsie of the name? No not really. We just wanted to talk about both of them.
It the sequel to one of the best horror movies of the last five years. The sequel no one excpected, or even wanted?
