The Cleveland Cavaliers edged the Brooklyn Nets 112–108 on Sunday afternoon at Barclays Center in a game that was tighter than many anticipated. James Harden made his return after missing the previous two games and delivered a near triple-double to help steady the Cavs down the stretch. Cleveland’s frontcourt also came up big, as Evan Mobley recorded a double-double while Jarrett Allen continued his strong play with 20 points and six rebounds. The Cleveland Cavaliers fell 122–119 in overtime to the Detroit Pistons in a heartbreaking loss that slipped away in the final seconds of regulation. Playing without James Harden and Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland appeared to have the game sealed before Jaylon Tyson committed a costly foul with four seconds left, sending Detroit to the line for three free throws to force overtime.
