When we think about God's gracious disposition toward us, especially in light of Jesus' death and resurrection, it's hard to understand. Grace abounds from our Heavenly Father. Additionally, the more we understand God's grace, it empowers us to extend grace to those around us. 

Looking at the life of Hagar and Ishmael from Genesis 16, we can agree that their lives were not glamorous. God may not have always spared them of their hardships, but He saw them and never abandoned them.

What if freedom from offense isn’t found in trying harder to be like Jesus, but in living from what Jesus has already done for us? At the cross, Christ not only showed us how to respond when we are wronged—He made it possible for us to die to sin, trust the Father with justice, and live UNOFFENDABLY FREE.

Some offenses are real. Some wounds run deep. So what do we do when we have every right to demand justice? Jesus shows us a better way—not by pretending the wrong didn't happen, but by entrusting justice to the Father and choosing forgiveness.

We often take offense at God not for who He is, but for failing to deliver on a contract He never actually signed. When our formulas for a smooth life crumble, we are tempted to treat His sovereign timing as a personal betrayal. Restoring your faith starts with realizing God didn't break His promise—He simply shattered your expectations.
