Description
Plant care is my favorite form of self care, & community care. I'm a firm believer in bring the outside inside with plants of all kinds. I'm also a firm believer that anyone can have success with plants of many kinds both on their land, & in their homes.
I'm here now to talk about all the reasons I believe these things, and why I spend all my time with plants in one way or another.
Whether I'm making herbal blends, tinctures or salves, pruning or weeding in the gardens, or tending my indoor jungle, I'm gonna talk you through it all one leaf at a time.
Let's get planting!

In which we recap on life in the last few weeks, update you on current goings on, and look ahead to the future, both near and far. I hope you are well, and remember, be kind to yourself.
We talk about life updates, Spirit Channels through me for like 10 minutes, and then we round it off with a really big teaser announcement for a project 3 years in the making.
What is Spiritually guided life force energy to me? Why Witchcraft, and how do Reiki & The Craft become one? Also creative processing grief, trauma, shame & guilty and how gardening and nature help me with that. Along with some faith, trust, and dragonfae dust.
Theology, Kink Positivity, and Sexually Inclusive Educatuon/Growth/Awareness go together like bread, almond butter, & jelly to me. I wanna talk about why that is, and maybe help you see why those things could go together for you, too.
What is it that makes you afraid of dying? I asked this question at 8am on a Friday and now we're going to explore the answers I received. Then we touch on accepting and embracing those fears, and the fear of dying itself.
In this episode of keeping super simple we discuss plant care grief and self-care and how those things are interconnected. These are things often viewed separately however I am of the belief but these things are worth exploring in their connections to each other and to us as humans.
In which we talk about why I disassociated last week. Maybe you can relate?
What is Grief? What is "Queer"? How can queer people experience grief? What are "queer" ways to experience grief? And, why is this all important?
A reading of a poem, written, and narrated by myself.
In many ways, 2020 was a year of utter heartbreak, and disaster. However, I'm here to remind you that even in darkness there is light, and that dark and light are not always what they seem to begin with. I hope you learned a lot this year, and I hope that it came with grace and ease. If it didn't, I hope that in the future, all is well, and full of grace and ease. An episode where we discuss societies overall views of self discipline, and how I myself am defining and cultivating self discipline at this time. We touch on things like grind and hustle culture as well, as self discipline is now hard to separate from these cultures within our society. These things are all based on my own observations, pondering, and googling. Have fun, and enjoy a good cup of coffee for me.
My overall point is that whether you feel "too little", or "too much", whether you're on one end of a spectrum or the other, know you're not alone. Being human is an anomaly in a natural world with only one constant, change. So centered in Unconditional Love and Compassionate Action, dare to change, dare to hope, dare to live and let live. As Simple as that. *Often the simplest things are the most complex. This is the premise of Keep It Super Simple, and all things under this name, by me, Xochi Grae.
In this episode, I sit down and get raw in processing the effects of white supremacy and assimilation. This is shadow work in action. This is raw, uncut, and it's for all of us doing the work. What ever that work is for you. May we keep going. Even in shadows, may we dance.
Where I talk about my own deconstruction, and the journey with the inner child from the perspective of letting go.
In this episode we talk about what self care can look like when you are suicidal. We also touch on reaching out when suicidal, and what happens when YOU are the one being reached out too by a friend in crisis. This episode runs a little longer, but I encourage you to listen all the way. There may be a message for you hidden in the story.
A slightly more fine tuned episode, where we discuss what I think duality really is, and how that applies to the world around us. I hope you enjoy the journey. Until next week, toodles!
