Hey y'all! In this episode, I read through chapters 13 and 14 of the book of Hosea. Chapter 13 opens with God's relentless judgement on Israel, while 14 closes with Israel's restoration. I also dig deeper into the history and spiritual lessons that can be gleaned from the tribe of Ephraim, as well as the personal significance in my walk with the Lord. Ephraim is mentioned throughout these chapters in Hosea, and I believe understanding the significance of Ephraim provides deeper insight into Hosea's writings. These scriptures embody and illuminate the beauty of God's redemptive power and mercy. I hope you all enjoy this episode, and that the Lord speaks to you in some way through it. Hey y’all! In this episode, I’m joined by Kirsten Brucker where we discuss friendships, her freshman year of college (so far…), her struggles with depression, and her mother’s battle with cancer. Kirsten has endured so much and found so much faithfulness in the Lord’s timing, as well as peace that surpasses understanding. She uses her testimony to encourage others for Christ - especially her Instagram story where she posts Bible verses and Magnificent, Terrific, Wonderful words of encouragement. I’m so inspired by Kirsten and her faith, and am so excited for y’all to hear this episode! As always, speak love and live it! Hey y’all! In this episode, I’m joined by my friend Jalen Lawrence. He shares how the Lord has been teaching him about importance of good friendships and community. We discuss some of our advice with regards to witnessing and the importance of introspection, slowing down, and being intentional with how we share Christ - as well as the grace that’s available when we fail to represent Him the way we should. Hey y'all! In this episode, I'm joined by my new friend Kayla Lopez, who is a sophomore at the University of Georgia majoring in Journalism/Mass Communication. Kayla has grown up knowing Jesus her whole life, but would say her relationship with Him became personal for about 3 years, when she made the decision to attend church on her own + get baptized. Kayla is so excited to be on the podcast today, and says "this is literally a dream come trueeee", as she aspires to be a broadcast journalist some day in the future. In this episode, we continue our discussion on forgiveness, apologizing, and accountability - answering the polls from my Instagram story + reading some tips from the article "Accountability" by Mia Mingus. So many people, especially in our generation, do not know how to give proper apologies. This is absolutely unacceptable, and we must learn now how to hold ourselves accountable for our actions + put ourselves in the vulnerable position of apologizing. If we don't now, then we'll miss the window of apologizing + potentially lose the relationship. Apologizing + repentance are the heart of the gospel + the call of every Christian! We hope you all enjoy this episode and please reach out + thank Kayla for her time, insight, and for being a beautiful person inside + out! In this episode, Kayla and I discuss the Instagram polls I posted last week on Forgiveness and Apologizing. We answer your questions on a variety of topics, including: Is it easy or difficult for you to forgive others? Is it easier to forgive or avoid? What's more important: forgiving or apologizing? Are we 100% forgiven? Is there a limit to forgiveness or is it unconditional? Does God limit Himself by forgiving unconditionally? Can't we just take advantage of Him and treat Him like a doormat? and more like these! - some of which may be answered in the next episode. Hello! Happy first episode of SEASON 3!!! It's crazy to already be on the third season of Words of Love already, and I am so excited to begin with some exciting announcements and updates in this episode. Glory to God for real because He is just incredible and so faithful.  In this episode, we discuss forgiveness - which is a very important and central theme to Christianity. We discuss: what is forgiveness? The google definition vs. the biblical definition? Why is forgiveness necessary and what does it require? What are the consequences of holding grudges + having a heart of unforgiveness? Why did Jesus sacrifice Himself + take on our sin? Why is forgiveness offered to us in the first place? and more!  Thank you to all the listeners who have stuck around since the beginning of the podcast + continue to support me everyday with feedback, following and keeping updated on Instagram and social media, and just listening + sharing the podcast with friends + family. Hey y'all! This is your host Luvlan Lee + welcome to the Words of Love podcast. In this episode, we talk about... prostitutes + harlots, specifically how Jesus used these unlikely women to share His message + further His kingdom. We explore and discuss the stories of Rahab (a Canaanite woman, liar, and harlot in the city of Jericho - Joshua 2), Gomer (unfaithful wife to the prophet Hosea - Hosea 1), and lastly Mary Magdalene/Mary the sister of Lazaraus... (were they even harlots like everyone thinks they were??). I really enjoyed studying these passages and recounting these stories. There is such a rich blessing + piece of wisdom in each one of these women's life stories. The symbolism, the bold faith, the testaments of HIs love, ugh... SO GOOD. I hope you all enjoy this episode + find a rich blessing in it too! Hey y’all! In this episode, we’re exploring what the Bible says about HOPE. What is Hope? Why is it important? Biblical hope vs. Worldly hope. How do we access Hope? What should we hope for? And so much more. Hope doesn’t disappoint. God’s hope is confident expectation whereas the world’s version is of wishful thinking + a level a doubt. I hope you are blessed by God’s Word today. Hey y’all! This is Luvlan Lee and welcome to the Words of Love Podcast! In this episode, we tackle the big question: What is faith? Many of us have heard this word at some point in our walk w Christ (or even if you’re not Christian). We base our whole belief system/values on faith in Jesus, don’t we? Seems pretty important then! We deep dive into Hebrews 11:1-16 to see what the Bible has to say about this topic - contemplating God’s definition of faith, examples of faithful followers throughout the Old Testament, and the rich blessings and promises available to us through faith (hint hint: opportunity for everlasting life!!) GOD’S DOING A BIG GIVEAWAY. Y’ALL BETTER HOP ON THAT! 🙌🏽🤗 As always, speak love and live it! For more updates on the podcast, you can follow me on Instagram (@wordsoflovepodcast). Hey y'all! In this episode, I am joined again by the radiant and kool kat Kaitlyn Courtemanche, a sophomore at Tocoa Falls College pursuing ministry leadership and theology! Kaitlyn is featured in "S1E7 Roots & Solitude: Covid Reflection", so go listen to that one! We discuss how God is always good, but is also confusing... He gives and takes away in His will, and sometimes that counters what we were expecting. God throws a lot of our plans out the window (a lot of things we feel secure in/believe to be promises), and we must learn to grapple with all of that and trust despite the confusion. We also discuss the majesty of God's plan - how much higher His ways are than ours... and how we need to trust even when things don't make sense. He is pruning us. He tests us by making this make "not sense". As college students and young adults, a major anxiety is about the future and what His plans are for us: what does God want us to do? What will the future look like? My spouse? My job? Ministry? etc... Kaitlyn and I both wrestle with those feelings of doubt and insecurity. Do we need to go around the entire globe to be missionaries OR can we work in leadership in one town? Which is more pleasing to Him? Our purpose???  These are the questions and thoughts we discuss and bounce amongst ourselves in this podcast... all while hiking, enjoying nature, and having lots of fun :) God is so good even when things feel confusing <3 As always, speak love and live it! HEY Y'ALL !!! Happy Words of Love Wednesday! I am so excited to be back on the podcast and that it's officially summer. God has been so good and faithful this year, and I am ready to use this free time to study His word and share my findings with you all. This episode in particular is one I have been meaning to speak on for quite some time - addressing the lukewarm nature of our churches, and how many proclaimed "Christians" actually aren't Christian at all... Progressive Christianity isn't Christianity..., it's actually the counterfeit, not Jesus. It's a hard reality, but it's truth. So many Christians today do not own a Bible, let alone read it. Our children do not possess the discernment for the things of God and the the things of Satan. We constantly side with Satan believing that it's God. Many today misrepresent Christ's mission, and are actually doing more harm than good by preaching false doctrine. Jesus addresses this problem in Matthew 15 - specifically the importance of practicing what we preach, if we truly understand/are willing to apply His teachings, and if we are persistent enough to keep coming in faith even when He rebukes us. I love this story and illustration of Christ's compassion - whether we are His children partaking in the bounty ON the table, or a dog with the privilege of receiving the crumbs that fall from it. HE IS SO COMPASSIONATE. WE MUST BE FAITHFUL.  As always, speak love and live it! For more updates on the podcast, follow me on Instagram (@wordsoflovepodcast) and (@luvlanlee). Hey y’all! In this episode, I talk about the reality of lukewarm faith - something that I have personally been walking through as of late. #testimony 👐🏽 When we become Christians, life doesn’t suddenly get easier. We still experience hard things. We still have doubts and worries. We are human and sometimes we choose not to trust/listen to God. I discuss the reality of these hills and valleys in my personal life over these past few months, and encourage us to acknowledge the times we fall short and push forward for the race set before us. For Jesus. I hope you all enjoy this episode. HAPPY EASTER!!! HE IS RISEN!!! In this episode, I’m joined again by my long time church friend, Nathan Desta, who felt inclined to share a message on how to overcome sin, and what it means to crucify the flesh. We dig through Romans 6, focusing on Paul’s writings, and also address baptism, repentance, and how following Christ is a daily endeavor. We answer the questions: Do we need to be baptized to be saved? What role does it play in salvation? Does dying to sin mean never sinning again? Why do run back into sin even after we’ve repented? Why is being Christian so hard??? I really enjoyed having this conversation with Nate (he’s so insightful!), and just give the glory to God for His sacrifice. As always, speak love and live it! In this episode, I am joined by the lovely Cathy Semeria - wife, mother, and lover of Jesus. Ms. Semeria has come to speak at my high school’s FCA for the past few years about her daughter Christina’s story. Almost five years ago, Tini, a sophomore at UGA, along with three of her friends, were involved in a tragic car accident that took their lives. Tini was smart, beautiful, kind, goofy, and so so passionate about Jesus. She loved singing, playing guitar, and sharing Him with everyone. Ms. Semeria shares Tini’s legacy and answers some important questions: How do you keep faith in the Lord throughout life’s unexpected trials? Did you ever resent God for what happened? Where did you find encouragement? What advice to you have for our generation? I hope that this podcast will encourage and inspire you to be a Spark in the Dark for Jesus 🌟 You can find Ms. Semeria on Instagram @cathysemeria for updates on Tini’s 5K and story. HEY Y'ALL! Welcome back to SEASON 2 of Words of Love Podcast !! So humbled and blessed to be starting a second season and am just awestruck by all the Lord has done through this ministry. Today, I am joined by three of my closest friends - Providence Mpano, Kenneth Johnson, and Nathan Desta - and we discuss the next steps after realizing you desire to be in a relationship with Jesus. Perhaps you have decided to dedicate your life to following Jesus and are just ready to share Him with everyone? That is AMAZING!! But how do you start sharing Him? This podcast goes in depth into how to start that ministry and allow the Lord to use you as a vessel in making His name known. We answer questions such as: How to be a witness for Christ? What can I offer - realizing the individualized gifts God has placed in our hearts? How can you prepare to step into God's calling? And topics such as showing your true colors and not being ashamed of who Jesus is in your life. We will face persecution for believing and living out Jesus in our lives, so how do we find the strength to persevere? I hope this encourages you to live for the Lord - to know Him and make Him known!  Thank you so much for the support and for your streams. It truly is changing lives and bringing Jesus out into the world. Thank you Kenneth, Provi, and Nathan for taking the time out to record this! Y'all are the best. As always, speak love and live it! In this episode, I’m joined by tbh one of my best friends from church that I’ve known since childhood Nathan Desta (@nathan_destination) and we talk about why a relationship with God is so desirable in the first place and what being in relationship with Him really means. What does God have to offer? What’s so captivating and amazing about being a Christian? And also, if God desires so much to be in a relationship with me, why does He seem so hidden? I really enjoyed recording this episode with Nathan and just conversing with him about such a crucial and vital topic to our faith. He’s got some good wisdom sprinkled in there.... and a STUDY SERIES coming out soon (!!!), so stay tuned for that! All in all, I hope you enjoy this episode and I encourage you, if you’re hesitant about starting a relationship with Christ, just to give it a shot!
