When I was approached with the question if I could record a mix to celebrate, it was a nobrainer. Lately I mix less and am mostly in my studio to produce new music. Creating something from nothing is very rewarding. Since producing music is about storytelling, you can hear this in my mixes too. They are not for the dancefloor anymore but are created for headphones. Relaxing with your headphones on and drifting away for the duration of the mix. His sound is built on multilayered textures, dub-style echoes and reverbs, electronic rhythms, and powerful sub-bass foundations — forming a distinctive sonic signature. The project’s debut release came out in 2010 on Symphonic Silence Inside. Since then, Brickman has collaborated with both Russian and European labels, putting out music on vinyl, CD, and digital platforms. His tracks have been supported in DJ sets by John Digweed, Marco Carola, Hernan Cattaneo, Deepchord, Kirk Degiorgio, and Nadja Lind. Between 2010 and 2019, Brickman performed live extensively at St. Petersburg venues such as Stackenshneider, Mosaique, Efir, Griboedov, MOD, and Berthold Center, as well as on RTS.FM and Vinyl Jam broadcasts, and at festivals including Abstraction and VPEREDSOMOTRYASHCHIY. He also took part in the Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp and composed soundscapes for several art exhibitions. Since 2022, the project has focused on studio work.
