The Celtics historically are 7-1 on Super Bowl Sunday and the only loss they had was the year the Patriots beat the Seahawks in the Super Bowl so I am taking this 111-89 loss to the Knicks as a sign that the Patriots are winning the Super Bowl now. The Celtics beat the Heat 98-96 after being down 22pts!!!!! The Celtics came out of the gate as sloppy as it gets with the starters shooting just 1-14 from the field in the first quarter and find themselves in a massive hole that eventually grew to 22pts just for the Celtics to outscore the Heat by 21 in the 3rd quarter to tie it heading into the 4th! Pritchard, White, and JB were excellent in stretches of this game and Vuc was great in his debut adding his first double double in green!!! After falling behind 12-0, the Celtics battle back tying the game at 26 at the end of the first, blowing them out in the second and forth quarters coming away with a huge 107-79 win against the Bucks. The Celtics lose 114-111 after a corner 3 from Huerter with .2 seconds left on the clock. The Celtics had a lot of opportunities in this game to close out the Bulls but couldn't quite pull through. I can't say I had super high expectations for this game coming off of a 2OT win just yesterday but it still hurts to lose a game that you were in all the way up to the end. The Celtics lose to the Pacers 98-96 in a game of massive runs. JB didn't play tonight so it feels like this was a scheduled loss even against the Pacers but the Celtics were right in this game down the stretch. Pritchard was great in this game and we got a lot from Simons in the 2nd quarter keeping the Celtics afloat. The Celtics gave up a 17-2 run spanning 7 minutes from the end of the 2nd to the mid point of the third and it was sparked behind some ridiculous shooting from the Pacers. The Celtics lose to Luke Kornet and the Spurs 100-95. The Celtics, who have the most efficient offense in NBA history gets held to just 95pts on 41% from the field, 36% from 3 and only 4FT attempts... White and JB both did their thing scoring 29 and 27 respectively despite neither of them being particularly efficient but outside of that, the Celtics didn't get a lot of help. The Celtics beat the Raptors 125-117 improving to 24-13 on the season! This was a game where you got contributions up and down the roster. Pritchard led the way with a team high 27pts and 8ast but also added 5 reb. JB, while not as efficient as normal, added 25pts 8reb 7ast. The Celtics come into this game as one of the hottest teams in the NBA playing against a Nuggets team without Jokic and walk out with a 114-110 loss. The Boston Celtics beat the Bulls 115-101 improving to 23-12 and move into 2nd place in the Eastern Conference after the Knicks got waxed by Detroit! Anfernee Simons led the way scoring tonight with 27pts all of which came in the 2nd half! He started this game 0-3 from beyond the arc and went on to hit 8 for his next 11!!! Pritchard also played really well in this scoring 21pts including a buzzer beater over 3 guys to conclude the 2nd quarter and then went off for 11pts in the 3rd. The Celtics didn't get a whole lot from JB or White from a scoring perspective but that is almost what makes this win even more fun.
