In this honest and practical reflection, Rev. Paul explores the theme of the ego’s story and the belief in separation through the reading “The Cloud of Guilt” from Chapter 13 of A Course in Miracles. Sharing two very relatable personal experiences, he looks at how easily we can be drawn into criticizing or condemning others, especially in casual conversations that seem harmless. What feels like connection in the moment can actually reinforce guilt, projection, and the ego’s cycle of separation. Rev. Paul reflects on how condemnation keeps us trapped in the cloud of guilt, while awareness and willingness open the way to healing. With humility and sincerity, he reminds us that when we condemn a brother, we are condemning ourselves, and blocking our awareness of the light within. This talk is a gentle but powerful invitation to choose again, to pause, and to remember that the light in one awakens it in all.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/a-course-in-miracles-with-miraclesone--199993/support.
In this reflection, Rev. Paul shares a very real and relatable experience that becomes a powerful teaching moment from A Course in Miracles.Beginning with the February theme, Hero of the Dream, he explores what it means to recognize ourselves as the dreamer rather than the dream. Drawing from Lesson 32, I have invented the world I see, and Chapter 21, Section II, The Responsibility for Sight, Rev. Paul reflects on how quickly the ego can choose anger, how easily peace can feel disrupted, and how gently the Holy Spirit offers another way to see. Through personal insight and Course-based guidance, he reminds us that when our peace is disturbed, it is not a punishment but an invitation to pause, step back, and choose again. This talk is an exploration of responsibility, forgiveness, and the simple yet profound choice we are offered again and again. Last week, we recognized forgiveness as our function as the light of the world. This past week: By now, you’ve begun to recognize that your light is not for you alone. It is a shared light, a blessing meant to extend—quietly, gently, naturally—into every relationship, every interaction, every moment.Week 3 Readings: Living On PurposeHealing Through ExtensionKey Idea: You are not the light of the world alone. Your purpose unfolds when you extend that light to others—not by doing, but by being.Readings:•    Lesson 63: The light of the world brings peace to every mind through my forgiveness.•    Chapter 6, Section I: The Message of the CrucifixionPlease be aware that in the future, there may be times when Rev. Rev. Paul has for you a video on Sunday's theme of "Living on Purpose" for Week 2 of August's theme.  Please be aware that in the future, there may be times when he will be unable to produce a video for the week's readings due to his schedule. That is why you may see gaps in presentations, like no video for last week for Week 1. Thank you for understanding. Last week, we accepted the truth that we are the light of the world. This week, we explore what that light does. The Course tells us: Forgiveness is my function as the light of the world. That’s a powerful reminder—your light isn’t passive. It’s radiant. Transformative. It brings peace where there was pain, understanding where there was conflict, and love where there was fear. Forgiveness doesn’t mean condoning harm. It means choosing healing over hurt. It means seeing past the ego’s story and remembering the truth in everyone. When you choose forgiveness, you fulfill your spiritual purpose. You don’t need to do more or become someone else. You simply allow light to flow through you—naturally, gently, and with love. Our meditation for this week helps us to explore further. Link available in the study guide. Week 2 Readings: Living On Purpose Key Idea: When you remember your true nature as light, your life becomes a channel of purpose—extending love, peace, and healing wherever you go. Readings: •    Lesson 62: Forgiveness is my function as the light of the world •    Chapter 18, Section VII: I Need Do Nothing Join us on Sundays at 10:00 am Central Time if you can on Zoom. Be sure to work with these readings with our monthly optional study guide with each week's guided meditations. The guide includes points to consider, reflection and journal prompts! We share with you Rev. Paul's talk on Week 4 of July's theme. When we look through the lens of ego, the world appears filled with lack, attack, and separation. But the Course gently reminds us that what we see with the body’s eyes is not reality—it is perception distorted by judgment. What if the one thing we resist the most is the one thing that holds the key to our freedom? Forgiveness, in the eyes of the world, can seem like giving in—letting others off the hook. But in the Course’s teaching, forgiveness is the most powerful tool for liberation. Lesson 121 tells us, "Forgiveness is the key to happiness." Why? Because as long as we hold grievances, we’re locked into a cycle of pain. We perceive through the lens of hurt, and the world mirrors back that suffering. But forgiveness dissolves the veil. It unshackles us from the past. It reveals that no one is truly guilty—that what we perceived as attack was actually a call for love. Chapter 30 puts it plainly: "Forgiveness recognizes what you thought your brother did to you has not occurred." This isn’t denial. It’s the correction of perception. We’re choosing to see with the Holy Spirit’s vision instead of the ego’s. Forgiveness doesn’t change the past—it changes how we see it. And in doing so, it transforms our experience of the present. Forgiveness is how we remember who we really are. And it is how we set others free, too. The Guided Meditation that was shared with the group was "The Key to Freedom." Available in our study guide. Week 5: Practicing Holy LeisureKey Idea: Holy leisure is not idleness, but a sacred rhythm of life that honors rest, reflection, and divine presence. We tend to fill our lives with tasks, calendars, obligations. But the Course teaches us that we have the power to “unmake” the world we made. In Week 5, we reflect on Holy Leisure—a sacred approach to time that includes rest, reflection, and surrender.Lesson 155 reminds us: “I will step back and let Him lead the way.” We are not meant to charge forward all the time. Sometimes the most powerful action is to wait in loving awareness and quiet. The Rules for Decision reinforce this: we always have a choice. We can continue to repeat the patterns of busyness, or we can decide to see our day as holy. A day of rest. A day of peace. A day guided by Spirit. This week’s guided meditation, “Letting the Day Be Holy Meditation.” The link to the meditation is included in the study guide PDF download available on our website and is shared at the start of the Sunday study group session.Week 5 Readings:• Lesson 155: “I will step back and let Him lead the way.”• Chapter 30, Section I: Rules for DecisionWebsite: https://miraclesone.orgBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/a-course-in-miracles-with-miraclesone--199993/support.
Closing April's Theme:  Final Week: The Miracle of Seeing Differently: Extending Love Key Idea: Miracles occur when we choose to see differently and extend love where fear once reigned. This week, we step into our power as miracle workers by recognizing that every shift in perception from fear to love brings light to the world. This week, we explore a profound truth: "Miracles are seen in light." Not in darkness, not in judgment, not in fear. Only in light. And what is light but love? This love is not a feeling that comes and goes with circumstances. It is the steady presence of God within us, the truth that never left, even when we turned away. To see differently means we no longer interpret our experiences through the lens of the ego. We no longer ask, "What did they do to me?" but instead, "What am I being called to see with love?" This shift is the miracle. The Course tells us we are never upset for the reason we think. That upset is always a call for love, for light, for clarity. This week's guided meditation, "Seeing with Love" we receive the light of love with our willingness to see differently. The link to the meditation is included in the study guide PDF download available on our website and is shared at the start of the Sunday study group session. Week 2: Let Me See with New Eyes: Choosing the Holy Spirit’s VisionKey Idea: Shift from the ego’s limited perception to the Holy Spirit’s vision of love and wholeness. This week, we explore a profound shift in perception: seeing with the eyes of the Holy Spirit rather than the ego. The ego sees separation, lack, and judgment. The Holy Spirit sees unity, love, and wholeness. In Lesson 189, we are reminded that the love of God is not something we need to find externally. It is already within us, waiting for us to remove the blocks to its awareness. This week's guided meditation, "Seeing with Holy Vision" we allow the Love of God to settle in our heart as we see with the Eyes of Love. The link to the meditation is included in the study guide PDF download available on our website and is shared at the start of the Sunday study group session.Readings:• Lesson 189: "I feel the Love of God within me now."• Chapter 13, Section V: "The Two Emotions"• "Do not seek vision through your eyes, for you made your way of seeing that you might see in darkness, and in this you are deceived. Beyond this darkness, and yet still within you, is the vision of Christ, Who looks on all in light."Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/a-course-in-miracles-with-miraclesone--199993/support.
April’s Theme:Seeing Differently: The Miracle of PerceptionApril invites us to explore the profound shift in perception that occurs when we choose to see through the lens of the Holy Spirit rather than the ego. A Course in Miracles reminds us that “Perception selects, and makes the world you see.” Through this month’s exploration, we will practice taking responsibility for our perception, recognizing that how we see the world is a reflection of the choices we make in our mind.Week 1: Perception is a Choice: Taking ResponsibilityKey Idea: You are not the victim of the world you see—you are responsible for your perception. By accepting this, you reclaim your power and open the way for miracles. This week, we are invited into a profound teaching that can feel both empowering and challenging: You are responsible for what you see. At first glance, this may seem overwhelming. Does this mean I’ve caused all the pain and chaos in my life? Not in the way the ego would have you believe. It’s not about blame—it’s about choice. What Jesus is telling us here is that we always have a choice in how we perceive what’s happening. We can see with the ego—through fear, judgment, guilt—or we can choose the vision of the Holy Spirit, which sees only love, innocence, and unity. This week’s guided meditation, “Choosing to See Differently ” we find ourselves in a doorway with the ego’s perception on one side and the other is the Holy Spirit’s. The link to the meditation is included in the study guide PDF download available on our website and is shared at the start of the Sunday study group session.Readings:• Chapter 21, Section II: “The Responsibility for Sight”• Lesson 152: “The power of decision is my own.”“I am responsible for what I see. I choose the feelings I experience, and I decide upon the goal I would achieve. And everything that seems to happen to me I ask for, and receive as I have asked.”Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/a-course-in-miracles-with-miraclesone--199993/support.
Week 4: Resting in God: The Power of SurrenderKey Idea: True rest comes when we surrender fully to God’s love. In releasing control, we discover peace beyond understanding. We live in a world that glorifies busyness. We are constantly told that if we are not doing, fixing, or controlling, we are falling behind. Yet, A Course in Miracles teaches us something radically different: our strength is found not in striving, but in surrender. In Chapter 3, Section II. “The Voice for God”, Jesus reminds us that we are the Kingdom of Heaven, but we have let the belief in darkness enter our minds. The restlessness we feel—the stress, the overthinking, the need to control—comes from believing we are separate from God.This week’s guided meditation, “Surrendering into Divine Rest,” we experience a golden light representing God’s presence. The link to the meditation is included in the study guide available on our website and is shared at the start of the Sunday study group session.Readings:Lesson 109: “I rest in God.”Chapter 3, Section II. “The Voice for God”“You are the Kingdom of Heaven, but you have let the belief in darkness enter your mind, and so you need a new light.”Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/a-course-in-miracles-with-miraclesone--199993/support.
Week 5: Extending Love: Becoming a Miracle Worker in Trust and LoveKey Idea: Our journey into trust and love is not just about receiving but extending it. True healing and transformation come when we become conduits of love and miracles for others. This month, we have explored trust—learning to surrender control, release doubt, and place our faith in something greater than ourselves. But A Course in Miracles reminds us that trust and love go hand in hand. Trust is not passive; it is an active expression of love. To trust in the Holy Spirit means to step forward with confidence, knowing that we are never alone, that love is always present, and that miracles unfold as we rely on divine guidance rather than our own limited perceptions. This week's guided meditation, "Becoming a Channel for Love," we experience being a channel for love. The link to the meditation is included in the study guide available on our website and is shared at the start of the Sunday study group session.Readings:Lesson 186: "Salvation of the world depends on me."Chapter 1, Section I: "Principles of Miracles""Miracles occur naturally as expressions of love. The real miracle is the love that inspires them. In this sense, everything that comes from love is a miracle."Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/a-course-in-miracles-with-miraclesone--199993/support.
Week 3: The Strength in Surrender: Releasing Resistance to God’s PlanKey Idea: Trusting God means releasing the need for control. We can walk forward with faith, even when the future is uncertain. Most of us have been taught that strength means control. We associate power with making things happen, pushing through, and resisting what we don’t like. But in truth, strength is not about force—it is about surrender.A Course in Miracles teaches us that when we resist, we suffer. When we let go, we receive. Lesson 320 reminds us: “My Father gives all power unto me.” But this power is not the ego’s idea of control. It is the power of surrender—the ability to trust that God’s plan is unfolding perfectly, even when we do not understand it.This week’s guided meditation, “Releasing Resistance, Embracing Flow,” we experience a flowing river as we let go of our fears and doubts. The link to the meditation is included in the study guide available on our website and is shared at the start of the Sunday study group session.Readings:Lesson 320: “My Father gives all power unto me.”Chapter 30, Section I: “Rules for Decision”“Decisions are continuous. You do not always know when you are making them. But with a little practice in the ones you recognize, a set begins to form which sees you through the rest.”Watch Rev. Paul’s insights he shared in this week’s video. This Coming Sunday’s Readings:Lesson 109: “I rest in God.”Chapter 3, Section II. “The Voice for God”Be sure to work with these readings with our monthly optional study guide with each week’s guided meditations. Week 2: Stepping into the Unknown: Trusting the Path Unfolding Before YouKey Idea: Trusting God means releasing the need for control. We can walk forward with faith, even when the future is uncertain. We have all experienced moments of uncertainty—times when we don’t know what lies ahead or how things will turn out. The temptation in these moments is to grasp for control, to defend ourselves against imagined threats, and to try to force outcomes. But the Course teaches us that true peace comes from doing the opposite. Lesson 135 reminds us: “If I defend myself I am attacked.”This week’s guided meditation, “Resting in Trust Meditation”, we experience the Holy Spirit or Jesus placing a hand on our shoulder to reassure us. The link to the meditation is included in the study guide available on our website and is shared at the start of the Sunday study group session.Readings:Lesson 135: “If I defend myself I am attacked.”Chapter 18, Section VII: “I Need Do Nothing”“To do nothing is to rest, and make a place within you where the activity of the body ceases to demand attention.”Watch Rev. Paul’s insights he shared in this week’s video. This Coming Sunday’s Readings: Lesson 320: “My Father gives all power unto me.” and Chapter 30, Section I: “Rules for Decision”Be sure to work with these readings with our monthly optional study guide with each week’s guided meditations. March’s Theme:Walking in Trust: Releasing Fear and Embracing GuidanceMarch is a time to deepen our trust in God, releasing fear and resistance as we embrace divine guidance. In A Course in Miracles, trust is the foundation of inner peace and true strength. This month, we will explore how to surrender fear, let go of control, and walk in certainty with God. Note: We have 5 weeks in the March Study Guide.Week 1: Letting Go of Fear: Trusting in Divine GuidanceKey Idea: Fear is a barrier to trust. By surrendering our fears, we open ourselves to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We often think of fear as a natural part of life—something to be managed, controlled, or avoided. But A Course in Miracles teaches us that fear is actually a misperception, a choice to believe in separation rather than unity. Lesson 48 reminds us with absolute clarity: “There is nothing to fear.” If this is true, then why do we experience fear so often? And how can we let it go?This week’s guided meditation, “Releasing Fear, Embracing Trust Meditation “, we experience imagery of the ocean as we place our fears on small paper boats. The link to the meditation is included in the study guide and is shared at the start of the Sunday study group session.Readings:• Lesson 48: “There is nothing to fear.”• Chapter 19, IV. B. Thanks for your podcast. A very unusual and interesting course. I would also like to try this, but for now I prefer to focus on the learning process. I prepare assignments and this is a very time-consuming process. And essay writers reviews help me with this https://uktopwriters.com/best-essay-writing-services/ Thanks to reviews, choosing the right source for help is much easier.
