Sowell is a zionist.
It's clear that Cenk has thought out his positions, just from within the mainstream bubble (except about mainstream media, who happen to be a competitor). He sometimes correctly identifies root causes, but his solution is just more of the same. So he doesn't threaten the status-quo, which allows him to get sponsors and published. He has no consistent political philosophy, often contradicts himself, and even lies if it helps support his view that more gov't = good. Last time listening to him.
Cenk is correct that we have corporatism, not capitalism, and he's write this is due to corruption between companies and government. But come on. In one sentence Cenk contradicts himself so clearly. We have to have regulations or else a company will get to the top and "write the rules". The rules they right are the regulations that benefit the corporate player! He's so close, but so far. His ideas just make the problem worse. How can he not see this?
Cenk's arrogant ignorance seeps through nearly every sentence he starts; "OK Kieth, this is how it is, Kieth...". This will lose most new listeners.
Keith; "were the wars waged by governments bad?" Cenk; "Nuking Hiroshima was ok because the government also fire bombed Tokyo and leveled Dresden."...
"These are just the facts", then proceeds to vomit misinformation. The nominal top tax rate in the 80's may have been 91%, but there were so many loopholes, the actual rate was less than today. But he uses this lie, that he states as a clear fact multiple times, proves super high taxes work. This guy.
Cenk displays cognitive dissonance so well. He's correct that regulated industries buy off their regulators in government, but simultaneously wants much more government control through regulations and regulators. How will we prevent corruption? I'm guessing, based on his book, we just need to replace everyone on the right with progressives, who must be immune to corruption, like the imagined new world, Soviet, socialist man.
Cenk said "without government we have no community". That is a fundamental mistake. Government enforces the rules of the elites at the expense of community. I think this is a core misunderstanding that leads people to believe bigger government is better.
Cenk won't comment on a study he hasn't seen (about black people committing more crimes against whites), but he can absolutely say, if the study is true, that he knows 100% it's NOT because they're racist against white people. Mind reading. Then seems to imply only people in power can be racist. This guy.
Cenk is correct on the idea of keeping corporations and government separate would improve America, and he's correct that a culture of hard work is important. Seems to be be exceptions to him toeing the partisan line. And his technical solutions would probably make the problem worse, since at his core, he seems to be bought and paid for by some entity, maybe just audience capture.
Cenk will comment with full conviction on almost any topic, regardless of how clearly he knows almost nothing on it (like Libertarianism), but when the clear answer is something that could undercut his views, suddenly he can't comment on it because he's not "an expert on massage therapy law" or he's "not a trained biologist". This guy.
Cenk completely misrepresented Libertarians. Libertarians do believe that governments can protect individual rights, as in not allowing someone to own a human slave. Just like how the government is supposed to prevent property theft and murder. Government has a monopoly on force. To say Libertarians don't believe in any governmental action is a straw man. Just very limited action.
Cenk has no consistent political philosophy, like most partisans (left or right), so he should not be taken seriously. Conscription is OK, in cases Cenk likes, but not for the "bad" guys. Voluntary un-paid internships are OK, but voluntary work under the minimum wage is wrong. Slavery is OK, only when we call it conscription or internships. "Regulations is just another word for laws", although our democratically elected officials don't pass them, but democracy is the highest virtue? This guy.
Cenk strongly believes some people will strive for power and control at the costs of others in the private sector, but he implied that to believe some politicians, who are in the industry of pure power and control, are not subject to this human trait, and to say so is a right wing idea, if not a conspiracy. Absolutely bizarre.
