Apologies for the short break in the podcast episodes. With the sudden lockdown in New Zealand & extended lockdown in Auckland, I found myself caught up with lots of work to do with clients to help them get through it. On top of that I had been searching for an Integrator & Executive Assistant to join me in the business so that I could be freed up to do more of the important client work & create more valuable content. Unfortunately, all this additional work meant that the podcast had to take a back seat. Fortunately, I have now found someone! I am pleased to announce that Jen joined the team last week & will take over from my virtual assistant fully over the next month. I can’t wait – having the right people in the right seats makes such a huge difference! Not that my virtual assistant, Beatrix wasn’t amazing – she is, however, I needed someone who is able to come into the office for some of the Integrator & EA role. With Jen now on board, we’ve been taking some time over the last week to get some more inspiring businesspeople lined for the next Season. As you know, our guests are either businesspeople who have built a successful business & are now enjoying a better life because of it or they are recognised business experts in their field & have a desire to help Entrepreneurs. Each of these guests is prepared to share the highs & low of business & the secrets to creating a better life through building a better business. They all started small & now have a successfully established business, employing tens to hundreds of staff & are still involved in the business in some way. Some of the confirmed guests for this series include: · Sam Stubbs from Simplicity – a new Kiwisaver fund that disrupted the traditional Kiwisaver model & turned the Kiwsaver industry on tis head · Duncan Shand from Young & Shand – a small digital agency that grew to be one of the most respected strategic digital agencies in the APAC region · Thomas Dietz from WOOP, who pivoted an original business idea & took WOOP from a start up to one of the most popular food box deliveries in NZ · Wade Jackson from the Covert Theatre – the home of Improv Theatre · Stanley Henry from the attention seeker – a rapidly growing Personal Branding & LinkedIn Agency that helps people build their digital influence & tell stories to create revenue Plus more of my own EOS clients, who will share their journey with you towards the EOS life which is: · Doing what you love · With people you love · Making a significant difference · Being compensated appropriately · Whilst having time to pursue other passions.
Entrepreneurailsim runs in the Serville Family. David's brother is well known for starting Serville's Hair Salon, but who knew his brother created not one but 5 franchise businesses? David is a driven entrepreneur with expertise in the franchising and service sectors. As the founder and CEO of CC Group NZ, he has been instrumental in catapulting Kiwi brands such as Crewcut (lawn mowing services and franchises), Crewcare (commercial cleaning services and franchises, Chemcare (asbestos removal), CC Training Academy (industry training), and CC Facilities Management (facilities services) to new and exciting heights. However, as all entrepreneurs know, there's a danger of getting drawn down a rabbit hole, enticed by the bright, sparkly things that we all love.  So, how do you avoid these pitfalls & make sure you don't leave money on the table? In 1991, David started a lawn mowing business with a business partner and a small business loan from the predecessor to WINZ. Almost 30 years later, that small business is now an established group of businesses. In his typically understated way, David talks with me & takes us through his journey from that small business loan to a 'not so overnight success'  group of companies that now employs 100s of staff. He shares with us how he learned from Amway, why he decided he had to learn about numbers, his relationship with his 3 wives, 5 kids & 4 grandchildren & how he avoids going down the rabbit hole. David also shares his top 3 tips on how you can maintain clarity & focus. He shares his business growth story along with his personal journey, including 3 wives & 3 families. And Richard Conway – CEO of Pure SEO – NZ’s most awarded SEO agency & Penguin books published author. Pure SEO has been in the Deloitte Fast 500 for the last 8 years. To create a sense of urgency Another common reason for using premium pricing is to create a sense of urgency. This can be useful when a company is launching a new product 3.
