Viola and Sebastian reunite. Orsino admits his love for Viola and promises to marry her while Olivia declares that she married Sebastian. Sir Toby and Andrew accuse Viola of attacking them but it was actually Sebastian. Malvolio is upset at his mistreatment then leaves. The show ends with a song about "the wind and the rain." Olivia declares her love to Cesario. Sir Andrew threatens to leave, believing Olivia will never love him, Sir Toby convinces him to challenge Cesario to a duel to win her love. Antonio gives Sebastian his purse, unable to venture the streets of Illyria. Olivia, seeing Malvolio smiling and cross-gartered, believes him insane and sends him to the care of Sir Toby. He is bound and locked in a room. Cesario and Andrew prepare to fight. Antonio mistakes Cesario for Sebastian and comes to his defense. He is arrested and is upset with Cesario for the perceived disloyalty. Sebastian, brother to Viola, sets off for Orsino's court with the sailor Antonio who saved him. Malvolio delivers a ring to Cesario as a sign of the Lady Olivia's love. Toby, Andrew, and the Fool enjoy a drunken evening which elicits upbraiding from Malvolio. Maria plots to make a fool of Malvolio by having him smile excessively and don yellow, cross-gartered stockings. Duke Orsino is in love with the Lady Olivia. Lady Olivia refuses to be seen for seven years after the death of her brother. Meanwhile, Viola and her brother Sebastian are saved from the same shipwreck, neither aware that the other survived. In order to survive in the strange land of Illyria, Viola disguises herself as a young boy to work in the male retinue of Duke Orsino, taking on the name of Cesario. The disguised Viola is sent on behalf of the Duke to court Olivia. Viola herself admits she has fallen in love with the Duke. In the court of Lady Olivia, Sir Toby Belch brought Sir Andrew Aguecheek to court Lady Olivia but he doesn't know that Olivia has fallen in love with the disguised Cesario.
