Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Army have successfully completed six flight-tests of Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile (QRSAM) system from Integrated Test Range (ITR) Chandipur off the Odisha coast. The flight tests were conducted as part of evaluation trials by the Indian Army.

The culprit created a fake Instagram account with her photograph and resorted to the crime. The Rachakonda police in Telangana have arrested a 30-year-old software employee in the crime. The culprit made an Instagram video call to the woman. When she took the call, the user showed his private parts to her and recorded the video call and took screen shots of it. Later he started sending those screen shots and video to her Instagram friends.

A DRDO developed supersonic missile assisted torpedo system was successfully launched from Wheeler Island in Odisha on December 13, 2021. The system is a next generation missile-based standoff torpedo delivery system. During the mission, full range capability of the missile was successfully demonstrated. The system has been designed to enhance anti-submarine warfare capability far beyond the conventional range of the torpedo.
The Nagarjunasagar dam in Telangana has been identified by the ministry of civil aviation for an aerodrome from where seaplane operations can take place. The Ministry of Civil Aviation introduced a new mode of transportation i.e. seaplane operations from water aerodromes under UDAN-3. Till date a total of 14 water aerodromes have been identified in the states of Gujarat, Assam, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadwee.

The National Crisis Management Committee (NCMC) under the Chairmanship of Cabinet Secretary, Rajiv Gauba reviewed the preparedness of Central Ministries/Agencies and State Governments to deal with the situation arising out of the impending cyclone in the Bay of Bengal.
Director General, India Meteorological Department, briefed the Committee about the current status of a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal, which is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm by 3rd December. It is expected to cross the coasts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha by the morning of 4th December, with wind speeds ranging from 90 kmph to 100 kmph, accompanied by heavy rainfall and tidal waves in the coastal districts of these states.
The cyclonic storm is likely to affect the districts of Srikakulam, Visakhapatanam and Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh and coastal districts of Odisha. It is also likely to bring heavy to very heavy rainfall in the coastal areas and Gangetic parts of West Bengal.
A shepherd in Mancherial district of Telangana has suffered injuries in a tiger attack. For the wounds that the 63-year-old man sustained, he was first taken to a local primary health centre and then shifted to a private hospital. Elmulla Shankar of Oddagudem village in Vemanapally mandal took his goats for grazing in the nearby forest area on September 30. Shankar told officials that he saw a tiger prey upon his goats. He said he defended himself against the tiger attack as he had an axe in his hand and it escaped into the forest area.
The three crew members of the ‘Ever Given’ now in the Suez Canal area in Egypt who have completed their contract on the ship will be allowed to return home to India. The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has accepted the request of Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM), the shipmanager, to allow for relieving of the crew on completion of their contract period. Currently, there are 25 Indian national crew members onboard the vessel. All are safe, in good health and good spirits.
The guidelines were issued by the ministry of health and family welfare on April 29 are are in supersession to the guidelines issued on the subject on July 2, 2020. As per the guidelines, the patients who are clinically assigned to be mild /asymptomatic are recommended for home isolation. Asymptomatic cases are laboratory confirmed cases not experiencing any symptoms and having oxygen saturation at room air of more than 94%. Clinically assigned mild cases are patients with upper respiratory tract symptoms (&/or fever) without shortness of breath and having oxygen saturation at room air of more than 94%.
The Medical Oxygen Plant (MOP) technology, developed by DRDO for On‐Board Oxygen Generation for LCA, Tejas by DEBEL, DRDO will now help in fighting the current crisis of oxygen for COVID-19 patients. The oxygen plant is designed for a capacity of 1,000 litres per minute (LPM). The system can cater to 190 patients at a flow rate of 5 LPM and charge 195 cylinders per day. Transfer of Technology has been done to M/s Tata Advanced Systems Limited, Bengaluru and M/s Trident Pneumatics Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore, who will be producing 380 plants for installation across various hospitals in the country. As many 120 plants of 500 LPM capacity will be produced by industries working with Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun, belonging to CSIR.
The Indian Army has made arrangements for veterans and their dependants in the Covid situation for treatment. The Indian Army is taking multiple steps to enhance its medical capacities on account of rise in COVID cases amongst the veterans and their dependents.
The International Transport Workers Federation has demanded repatriation of Indian crew on MV Ever Given by Egyptian authorities at the normal conclusion of their contracts. The ITF executive board which met on April 23 said the seafarers should be repatriated if the ship cannot leave Egypt any time soon. It may be mentioned here that there are 25 Indian crew on board the container vessel which had got stuck in the Suez canal from March 23-29. After it was refloated, it sailed to The Great Bitter Lake in the Suez Canal area.
One C-17 aircraft of Indian Air Force got airborne at 2 am on April 24th from Hindan Air Base for Changi International Airport, Singapore. The aircraft arrived at Singapore at 7.45 am. After loading 4 empty cryogenic oxygen containers, it departed Singapore and is en route to Panagarh air base for offloading of these containers, IAF informed about its on-going operations.
The IAF carried out sorties from various parts of the country to airlift oxygen containers, cylinders, essential medicines, equipment required for setting up and sustaining COVID hospitals and facilities in the fight against fresh surge in COVID-19 cases. From the Begumpet airport in Hyderabad, IAF aircraft airlifted oxygen tankers to Odisha to bring in supplies to Telangana. Health minister Eatala Rajendar and Chief secretary Somesh Kumar were present at the airport during the operation. The IAF Transport aircraft and helicopters have been pressed into service for carrying out these tasks. These include transport aircraft C-17, C-130J, IL-76, An-32 and Avro. Chinook and Mi-17 helicopters are on standby.
