A young married couple are victims of a home invasion and the wife is killed. It takes over a decade for the perpetrator to be convicted and justice served. The perpetrator followed a similar trajectory to how the first case unfolded which reignited suspicions that one of the victims, wasn’t actually a victim. . . . Workplace disagreements happen all the time and sometimes Management have to step in, especially when someone is physically assaulted. Its usually inevitable that the offending worker is dismissed. What is not usual is the deaths that follow. Was he slowly going downhill for quite some time and no one noticed? Or did he just explode at the perceived injustice? . . . People disappear all the time and murder victims get labelled incorrectly as runaways. But sometimes its voluntary, people want to start a new life unburdened by their past. Such a plan this week required a body so that the runaway would not be looked for by authorities and to pay out insurance to their family. What’s a little murder between an employer and employee? . . . This week we discuss: Murder, Motive, Arson, Dismemberment, Larceny, Insurance Fraud Sources: https://murderpedia.o...
A troubled teen turned into a miserable adult. Being absent in his relationship and neglecting his parter resulted in an *unexpected* outcome, his wife had enough and filed for divorce. Was it resentment at being “abandoned” in his words, or was it that she had moved on with her life that made him commit the most heinous of crimes. . . . . Being involved in politics requires a certain amount of ones private life being scrutinised. Being the child of a politician may cause you to grow up differently to your peers. It may also give you ideas on how to deal with people that are not doing what you want them to. Are you entitled or completely off the rails? . . . Thomas Seatt was a quiet man but behind closed doors, he was a predator. Between the years of 1998-2004 he preyed on young women across the Midwest, luring them in before brutally ending their lives. For years, police struggled to connect the crimes as Seatt was careful, methodical and always one step ahead. . . . William’s childhood appeared normal and uneventful until around the age of 17, when things began to take a darker turn and he started accumulating a criminal record. As an adult his behavior spiraled further, leading him into a life of serious crimes. For years, he managed to evade justice despite being involved in increasingly heinous acts. Was his descent into violence triggered by an alleged drug debt, or was it simply the inevitable outcome of the path he had chosen? . . . This week we di...

Adopted at birth, Joshua began exhibiting troubling behaviors as early as age five. Despite numerous doctors and diagnoses, nothing seemed to help, by the age of 14, his behavior had escalated to the point where he was sent to a boarding school that also served as a residential care facility. Was his eventual act of destroying his family a response to learning about his adoption? Or was it an inevitable outcome, simmering beneath the surface all along? . . . This week we discuss: ...

They were farmers, had 8 children. The oldest son (second child) was sent out to get bullets or shot and missed his fathers rampage, wiping the whole family out, including himself, on Christmas day in 1929. Its about 60 years later that a motive comes to light but even now, its not confirmed that it is true. On December 23, 1989, in the quiet desert outskirts of Mesa, Arizona, a young woman's life was tragically cut short. A woman who had been swept up by romance and a whirlwind marriage, became the victim of a cold-blooded conspiracy orchestrated by her own husband and his older brother. What followed was a long legal battle, with Cindy’s family, particularly her younger sister Kathy, fighting tirelessly for justice. This week we discuss: Murder, Motive, Appeals, Insura...
It's not THAT Bundy, calm yourself. A serial killer is on the loose in Alaska. Authorities are stumped and a joint taskforce is set up with input from the FBI after one victim is found on Federal land. The FBI profile was so very different to how the detectives had viewed the case so fare, they felt they had nothing to lose. Maybe they should have been more cynical with only an 85% accuracy rate? . . . This week we discuss: Murder, Motive, Serial Killer, North Pole, Alaska, Fair...
A family that on the surface lives the good life in Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina in South America. Beneath the surface something is very wrong with the parents’ marriage and also how at least one son is being treated. Was it a case of lashing out after years of abuse or was it about the money? Years later there is involvement in political scandal, fraud and even today, there is no end in sight. . . . This week we discuss: Murder, Motive, Mothers of the Plaza de May...

A very wealthy family living in a gated community with a glowing future ahead for the children. The parents had expectations, do well in school, be an upstanding person, nothing too onerous. Or were they? What triggered the events of that night in 2015, an argument, resentment or a psychotic break? . . . He was odd from a very young age, seemingly brought up by a Grandfather and a carer as the parents were far too busy. He became a voyeur at home, fuelled by his love of graphic films and comics. You think your elderly relative is being mistreated by their spouse. Its possible that is true, its also possible a sibling is provoking you for their own reasons. What he did was awful, that final incident. He obviously wanted to to die via suicide by police/authorities because of how he was feeling inside. Him telling his ex and current gf the same, that's not surprising with the 'blended' family life he had, what family life he had. The drugs understandable if there was no insurance for meds. From just before that incident I think personally the state should still have had some sort of grasp on his case, if only to make sure he was taking his meds. Sad.

Spot on. It was the same with my trial (not against me), they weren't allowed to bring up his previous, there was a lot. BUT in his next trial, towards his next partner they could and did. When he hurt her he had to call 999 himself whilst giving rescus. Another dangerous character around women and children who is only ever given fleeting sentences and is back at it time after time. It's a shame they don't use the 3 strikes and you're out here.

I was reading about the JP kidnapping yesterday. The grandad was rich, said he wasn't paying as had plenty of grandkids, family pressure made him pay a lot less. Like you say when JP was released he detested his Grandad. Ended up dropping uni, doing drugs, having a stroke and became heavily disabled and wheelchair bound. Family thought it was fake as he had kokedyabout kidnapping previously to squeeze money from the Scrooge grandad. That's why they initially wouldn't pay. Sad all around.

Cannibalism is sometimes categorised as a fantasy or as far as a fetish. Some either want to eat people or be eaten by people, often consuming parts of themself before eventually succumbing to their wounds.

This one interests me because a year ago (maybe not even that) I was diagnosed with psychosis. It's a horrible world to be in when you're not medicated properly or at all. People take advantage in every single way; whether it be company, financially, s**ually, physically, abusively, and you don't even know anything is going on. A lot of the time you don't remember the episode. Episodes can last minutes, hours, days, weeks or months. And Dr P is an awful person. Majority of the show is setup.

Correct, those sorts of SSRI's do give you body spasms. I have to take similar and I have trouble sleeping because of it. it's uncontrollable and just feels icky. AND SOOOO the doctor has me on Zopiclone (sleeping tablets) also. But these are carefully prescribed and not purchasable in a pharmacy or normal UK shop (though there are unmonitored places/people online I've used previously). I can tell you that with both the sleep is fantastic but it's hard to wake therefore I dont often use the zops

Re the vigilante justice: In the UK there was a man who lived down south, Devon area who created S.O. register which was/probably still is online. He called UK court papers for cases and names and put people on this register. He was the guy who first had one of those P* Hunter groups. At one point it got so crazy and still is. It became a fad. BUT people in these groups started to believe they had positions of power and collected a lot of money, laptops, computers and so on from the public.

There's a lot of mobile phones in UK prisons. There's a Scouse man who is constantly in and out of prison, he does more lives in prison than he does when he's out. It truly is madness.

I discovered you guys today through a post on Instagram. I'm in the process of binge-listening to your episodes. Some cases I've heard of previously but you explain them in a way that is completely understandable to anyone. This podcast is like listening to or having a conversation with my own mother. I love true crime, but mostly I love the way you both put the cases across as they were. Not your own hypothesis, just pure facts! A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU GUYS ♥️ xx
