Self-Care is an area we tend to discount - we believe doing things for ourselves that require time and commitment are luxuries and indulgences which are considered excessive, when it's the ONE THING that can change the game for us in every aspect of our lives.

So many things can constitute self-care and everything we do for us is a journey. It's not a one size fits all approach so what works for one person may not work for someone else. Each day we not only learn more about ourselves, but we evolve more into the ultimate creations we are intended to be. When we say yes to us, it's all possible.

This episode is a little challenge in how we frame our thoughts and choices around HOW we do us--from our fitness, to our self care, to all the things that we try to tell ourselves are hard, difficult, challenging, not easy and more. Maybe you start out on a new habit with the best of intentions, only to be thrown off track by life.  Like we teach, it’s never a question of IF, but WHEN things happen--what then? Here’s a challenge for you.  What if what was challenging you was easy? What would you think? What would you do? The New Year always grants us opportunities for what is possible for us. As we head into 2021, what did you learn this year?Maybe this year has really challenged you and your thought of what self care IS for you, or you have really doubled down on it. And so many people put emphasis on ‘consumer’ self care as their MAIN way of recharging. Maybe this is you. But to be frank--real self care is often what we DON’T DO for ourselves. As in, what we don’t do NOW, but we KNOW we ‘need to’. And it starts with looking inward to what is inside of us--and asking questions. Sometimes questions that we don’t want to answer, or we think would require too much of us to address. This year has been about many lessons and observations for me--maybe for you too. And so I thought it appropriate in this episode to highlight THREE THINGS that have come to mean EVERYTHING about self care to me, especially this year. Like we frequently talk about on this show--HOW you do you can look any way you desire. It can be easy to let slide--especially this time of year--but allowing yourself to just LET GO is an amazing way to regain control.
