Leslie continues the Honorable Womanhood with an exploration of God’s vision and purpose for marriage. We often approach marriage from a selfish vantage point, assuming that the main purpose of marriage is for our own happiness. This episode explores the core principles that create a world-impacting, outward-focused marriage, as well as diving into the role that marriage should play in a woman’s life. If you want a clear, inspiring vision for godly marriage or if you have struggled to find your purpose and identity as a single woman, this episode is for you.For more resources from Leslie, visit https://setapart.org/. Leslie continues the Honorable Womanhood series by tackling the issue of counterfeit purity vs. Biblical purity. While many versions of “purity” are promoted within the Church, the reality is that a true commitment to purity can only flow out of a heart that longs to love, honor, and glorify Jesus Christ above all else. As Leslie shares in this episode, when purity is merely a philosophy or concept, we can be easily talked or tempted out of it. But when purity is an outflow of our own passionate devotion to Jesus Christ, it’s a commitment that won’t easily crumble. For more resources from Leslie, visit https://setapart.org/. Leslie launches a new series this week, Honorable Womanhood. In this episode, she shares the critical ingredient to a romance that only grows more beautiful with time - putting Jesus above all else. When we look to an earthly relationship to meet needs that only Jesus can meet, we put unrealistic pressure on another person, which can lead to heartbreaking decisions in singleness and frustrated marriages. This message is all about finding our soul-level fulfillment in Christ, which allows us to approach romance and relationships with a selfless and surrendered heart and sets us up for lasting success both in singleness and marriage. For more resources from Leslie, visit https://setapart.org/. Leslie wraps up the He Is series with an exploration of what it means to have a "Canon mind" - implicitly trusting God’s definition of reality and being closed to any thought or idea that promotes a reality other than His. When we build our lives upon the conviction that God’s Word is the perfect revelation of fact and that it cannot lie, we can no longer be shaken by doubt and uncertainty. If you have struggled with believing enemy lies or doubting God, this episode will encourage and inspire you to make Jesus Christ and His Truth your solid Rock and firm foundation. For more resources from Leslie, visit https://setapart.org/. Leslie continues the He Is series with a powerful reminder that He is our Rock. All throughout Scripture we are reminded that He alone is meant to be our rock and fortress. And Jesus tells us that unless build our faith upon the solid unchanging rock of His Truth, our faith will come crashing down when the storms of life hit us. In this episode, Leslie offers practical ways to make God's Truth the immoveable rock beneath our feet, so that we can have an unshakeable faith and an immoveable soul no matter what trial or temptations we may face. For more resources from Leslie, visit https://setapart.org/. Leslie continues the He Is series by exploring the amazing reality that God is love. He exemplifies agape love - a love that actively, purposefully seeks another’s highest. It is a sacrificial love. It is a selfless love. As Leslie explains in this episode, this is the love God showed toward us, and the very same love we are called to have towards Him. We often look at total surrender, total consecration to God as extreme. But as Leslie shares, His love for us was beyond extreme. This message reminds us that offering our lives as a living sacrifice to Him is not extreme - it is the reasonable, right, and loving response to the greatest love that has ever been or ever will be.For more resources from Leslie, visit https://setapart.org/. Leslie continues the He Is series with a short but powerful exploration of Christ as our Vine. As Leslie explains, when we fail to abide in Christ and yet still attempt to live out vibrant Christianity, we will either become legalistic or apathetic and cynical. That’s because we are going through the motions of Christianity with no power to actually live it out. This episode offers practical ways to avoid both legalism and spiritual apathy by learning how to cling to Jesus as our Life Source and let Him live His life in and through us.For more resources from Leslie, visit https://setapart.org/. Leslie continues the He Is series by unpacking what it means to make God our Refuge. In 2 Chronicles 16:9 we are told "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him." We serve a God who is eager and ready to be our refuge. Are we willing to let Him? In a time when fear and self-preservation have a death-grip on the world, it is critical to remember the power and protection of our God that is available to us when we choose to find our refuge in Him.For more resources from Leslie, visit https://setapart.org/. Leslie continues her He Is series with an encouraging message about knowing Jesus as our Restorer. Many of have heard that God "works all things together for our good" but find it hard to really believe that when we are walking through disappointment or pain. In this episode, Leslie unpacks Biblical keys to experiencing God's restoration for the difficult things we walk through and learning to let trials draw us closer to Jesus instead of pushing Him away. For more resources from Leslie, visit https://setapart.org/. Leslie continues the He Is series by unpacking Jesus as our strength. We often limit what God can do through our lives because we focus on our inability instead of His ability. We are quick to forget that what God calls us to, He equips us for. And yet, He is ready and waiting to provide us with supernatural power to tackle the impossible tasks He calls us to, if only we will allow Him to. As Christ’s Body, we are meant to be carriers of His hope, light, and truth to a desperately needy world. But just like the disciples when faced with the task of feeding a hungry crowd with just a few fish and loaves, we must look to Him to supply what we need in order to fulfill this call. For more resources from Leslie, visit https://setapart.org/. Leslie continues the He Is series with a powerful look at the reality that God is love. When we come face to face with the extraordinary facts about God’s love, it necessitates a response on our part; a response of awe and gratitude, a response that willingly offers all that we are to the One who gave everything for us, because of His amazing love. In this message Leslie focuses on two key aspects of God's love and how the reality of His love should impact our daily life and decisions. For more resources from Leslie, visit https://setapart.org/. Leslie continues the He Is series by unpacking the authority that we have in Christ. When we take our position in Christ, we are able to wield the power of His Name against the attacks of the enemy. His Name is the Name that is above every name. As Leslie's shares in this episode, the power of His Name is what gives us authority over all the power of the enemy. If you are being harassed or hindered by Satan's attacks in your life, this message will encourage you to remember the authority you have in Christ, and offer practical ways to wield that authority so that you can exchange defeat for victory. For more resources from Leslie, visit https://setapart.org/. Leslie continues the He Is series with important Scriptural keys to finding our identity in Christ. We often have humanly-contrived ideas about "godly womanhood" and they can seem dour and oppressive. But God's vision and purpose for our lives is the opposite - it's amazing, life-giving and beautiful. In this episode, Leslie points us toward refreshing Biblical truths about Christ-centered, godly womanhood, and equips us to find strength and confidence in Christ and not ourselves. While the world says that self-esteem is the answer for our insecurity, in reality we will only gain lasting security when we look away from ourselves and toward Jesus Christ. The question “who am I?” is not nearly as important as the question, “who is He?"For more resources from Leslie, visit https://setapart.org/. Leslie continues the He Is series with a message about finding our identity in Christ. When we know who we are in Christ, we won't make the mistake of seeking purpose and fulfillment in the approval of others or unhealthy relationships. We will be content instead of desperate, peaceful instead of impatient, and secure instead of self-focused. As Leslie shares in this episode, knowing our position in Christ is the key to stepping into the life He has called us to live. It has been said that we can’t really know who we are until we know who Jesus is. But we can’t stop there. We must know who He is and what our position is in Him.
