The Love of Jesus

Scripture: Genesis 1:27-29, Psalm 139:13-14. Yes, God’s glory is revealed in YOU. Human beings are made in God’s image, and because of that we are worth more than other animals and other aspects of creation. We can have a direct, one on one relationship with God through Jesus Christ! Even when we were just in the womb, God knit us together and watched over us every step of the way. Every human being is unique and beautiful in the eyes of God, our Wonderful Creator. :)

“Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, ‘I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to LIFE!’” John 8:12 In this episode, we talk about how Jesus is the light. With Him in our heart, we will never walk in darkness. It’s like the sun: without it, we wouldn’t know where we are going. Jesus is that light. What a love. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas :)!!! GOD IS SO SO GOOD YOU GUYS!!! Please remember that. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 Finding Peace in the storm. How? Here’s a quote I heard by David Latting: “True peace is not the absence of the storm. True peace is the presence of God in the midst of the storm.” This is so so true. In this episode, I took the example of Peter walking on water and applied it to our walk with Jesus. God bless you all, stay tuned for next episode!!! :D

Following Jesus is not easy. As disciples, we have to pick up our cross daily and let go of whatever we are holding onto in the world. We will face persecution for loving Jesus, but keep in mind that the world hates Jesus, and we as Christians are called to be apart from this world. Following Jesus will not make you wealthy. Following Jesus will not make you popular. Following Jesus is saying, “you know what Jesus, I don’t care how bad it gets, I don’t care if people think I’m crazy, I don’t care if nobody likes me, because I want to follow you. Because you are worth it, and you are all that I need.” Following Jesus is an everyday choice to deny yourself, pick up your cross, and follow Him. Gospel means “good news” In summary, #1) humans sin, which leads to separation from God. #2) Jesus’ death on the cross and His resurrection creates a bridge so that we can receive eternal life. #3) Jesus’ resurrection proves that there is in fact life after death, and He is not just a normal man. He is both fully man and fully God. #4) Eternal life is now a free gift to ANYONE who believes in and accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and repents of their sins.
