Sudden but Inevitable

SBI is back from our vacation to bring you the latest in our watch of Death Note with our anime-resistant friends Josh and Ricky D! This week, we are watching Matsuda and Makeshift, lamenting a lack of plot advancement, while attempting to learn current young person lingo and feeling out the live-chat's feelings on fanfiction. This week at SBI, Josh kink-shames anyone who is into cherry knots, but also thinks Misa's treatment is a little unfair. Ricky D manages to soften his Misa Misa edge slightly, while getting very excited to see some guns in some faces. As usual, the Cap'n tries to hold everything together this week in an attempt to also discuss a pair of Death Note episodes!Subscribe to Open Pike Night now to be part of the Cap'n's new Star Trek Strange New Worlds podcast!Support your favorite indie podcast in style with an SBI shirt! This week the SBI crew discovers what happens when Rem decides not to like you anymore, and Josh is finally able to decide how he feels about Light! Ricky D of course takes the opportunity to wonder how he feels about Light's little sister. Wait, that came out wrong...but we're wagering that you'll let that decision slide!Subscribe now to Open Pike Night now to be part of the Cap'n's new Star Trek Strange New Worlds podcast!Support your favorite indie podcast in style with an SBI shirt! This week the crew returns from a break and is joined by the Incomparable Mrs. Sudden! Will Ricky D be able to maintain his positive attitude from two weeks ago? Will Josh ever be able to stop feeling bad for Light? What happens if two Shinigami fall in love? We have a lot of questions this week, in case that's not obvious.Subscribe now to Open Pike Night now to be part of the Cap'n's new Star Trek Strange New Worlds podcast!Support your favorite indie podcast in style with an SBI shirt! This week sees a new kind of SBI, the pre-recorded kind! To help us make up for our lack of a live audience, anime superfan Phil K stopped by to discuss a bit of Death Note with us! Josh finds himself mistrusting this new Kira, while Ricky D is fully on board. Where does that leave the Cap'n? In charge of one whopper of a discussion, that's where!Don't miss Phil's blog Swords of the Ancients!
