To Give or Not to Give Egy lelkésztől hazafele menet egyszer kérdezte a taxisofőr hogy mivel foglalkozik. A lelkész elmondta a foglalkozását, majd erre a taxisofőr azt mondta hogy az a legjobb business, abba sok pénz van. És valóban, a keresztények rendszeresen adnak, de vajon miért teszik ezt? És Istennek valóban szüksége van az adományokra, vagy egészen másról szól ez az egész? A taxi driver once asked a pastor on his way home what his occupation was. The pastor told him what he did for living, then the taxi drive said it was the best business, there is a lot of money in it. Indeed, Christians do give regularly but why do they do it? Does God need the donations or is it about something totally different?

Worshipping Life Style "Mi az a dicsőítés, miért szentelünk az alkalmainkon ennyi időt erre? Hogyan gondolkodunk az imádatról, miért épp zene? Istennek van szüksége erre, vagy mi cél szolgál? Tele van a fejünk bibliai idézetekkel, tanításokkal, példázatokkal... csak sokszor túlságosan régiek már ezek az emlékek. Pontatlanok, homályosak, zavarosak... ahelyett, hogy napi szintem töltekeznénk az igéből vagy keresnénk az Urat, gyakran csupán emlékezetből éljük meg a kereszténységünket. A hitünk egyre ingatagabb alapokon áll, bár mi azt hisszük, biztonságban vagyunk, elvégre mégis csak keresztények vagyunk! A Biblia viszont több helyen is figyelmeztet minket: ne csapjuk be magunkat! Szóval vizsgáljuk meg az alapjainkat, nyissuk ki újra a Bibliát, frissítsük fel az kapcsolatunkat Istennel és aztán kezdjük el tenni azt, amit ő kér. Ne csak hallgassuk, cselekedjük is... akkor lesz az életünknek sziklaszilárd alapja. Many of us know many things about Christianity. Our heads are filled with Bible quotations, teachings, parables... but these memories are often quite old. They are inaccurate, vague, confusing... Instead of us getting filled by the Word and seeking the Lord daily, we often live our Christianity from memory. Our faith rests on less and less stable foundation, yet we believe we are safe since we are Christians. But the Bible often warns us against deceiving ourselves. So let's examine our foundations, let's open the Bible again, let's refresh our relationship with God and then let's start doing what He asks of us. Let us not only hear the Word, but do it as well! That is when our lives will have a rock solid foundation.

But if we look around, we see that there are fewer things more needed in our world today than peace. However, Jesus' vision for His disciples was not only to experience peace and to be essentially peaceful but to promote peace as well. What can we do practically to promote peace in the world?

When God Doesn't Make Sense Ebben az üzenetben Habakukk próféta Istennel való küzdelmét látjuk, amikor Isten látszólag nem tesz semmit, pedig Habakukk csak zűrzavart és bűnt lát mindenfelé maga körül. Isten azt mondja, hogy igenis tesz valamit, valami olyat, amit Habakukk nem vár, aminek szerinte semmi értelme. Isten útjai nem a mi utaink, és olyan Istenünk van, aki időnként meglep minket.
