This week features one of Community Healthcore's community partners, Longview Police Departments POST officer Byrdsong. Within this episode, Officer Byrdsong talks about his role as an outreach officer, what led him to this position, and the benefits of expanding his department. This discussion also covers the current training new recruits receive to better equip them for crisis situations or behavioral health calls as well as current leaders within the state who promote this way of policing.
