We love Pedro Pascal, you love Pedro Pascal. We love cool stuff, you love cool stuff. We have a podcast, you listen to podcasts. Anyway, enjoy the episode.
We had no plans for this session so we came up with a dumb movie idea and laughed at it. ENJOY IT OR YOU HATE HER
We're back and..... also back. After a breif and warranted sabbatical, we return by analyzing something that makes us feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.  Music by White Bat Audio F
What makes animation so vivid? How did it start? How do they make it so cool? Why does it sometimes look uncanny? All this and more in our first full episode back! Media is strange in the way it constantly follows new and different trends. Tayler is strange in the way he consumes it. Randi isn't strange.  Music by White Bat Audio Follow us on socials @mftiipodcast, see our faces on Spotify Video Podcasts and YouTube, and email us at mftiipodcast@gmail.com. Enjoy the show!
The content we watched SUCKED, but this episode doesn't. :D Music by White Bat Audio Follow us on socials @mftiipodcast, see our faces on YouTube and Spotify Video Podcasts, and email us at mftiipodcast@gmail.com. Enjoy the show!
Religion is a touchy topic. It's hard to make media that does it right, but OH BOY does Midnight Mass get it right. Now God's Not Dead, on the other hand. Awful. Terrible. Don't Watch it. If you do, Randi will know. And she'll get angry. You wouldn't like her when she's angry. Because it's bad. And she get's angry. Just trust me, you wouldn't like it.   Music by White Bat Audio.   Follow us on social media @mftiipodcast, see our faces on Spotify Video Podcasts, or email us at mftiipodcast@gmail.com. Do you stream your television? Do you binge it? Well Tayler has some things to say about that. Ask him, I dare you. No really, if you see him ever in person, ask him. Listen to the episode. But also ask him in person. He'd love it. He needs more social interaction. His therapist told him he struggles with talking to strangers, but he has to work on that. So actually go up to him in person and ask him about binge culture. Put it on your phone as a reminder, but like remind yourself every day until you meet him. I'm not sure exactly how that would work, like, technology-wise. But figure it out. That's your job. That and listening to the episode right now. In fact, stop reading this and go to the actual episode. It's good. I promise. But don't take my word for it, take your own word for it. Listen to yourself. You know you want to listen to the episode. Do yourself that favor.  Music by White Bat Audio Follow us on social media @mftiipodcast, see our faces on YouTube and Spotify Video Podcasts, or email us at mftiipodcast@gmail.com. Enjoy the show!
Shoot the bad guys, drink the beers, warble and wobble, rinse and repeat until cool movie. Music by White Bat Audio Follow us on Social media @mftiipodcast, see our faces on Spotify  Video Podcasts or YouTube, and email us at mftiipodcast@gmail.com. Enjoy  the Show
The brain boggling, mind melting, Tayler traumatizing, thought inducing puzzling that Randi brought to the table is sure to make your dumb, small brains just die. Like just shut down. Does Tayler overcome his overwhelming stupidity and pull a win out from under Randi's cheeks? Only time will tell. Time and this podcast. Sometimes you watch things and you really like them. And sometimes you watch them in the summer. That happened to us, so we decided to tell you about it. That's it. That's the description... You plan to talk about something, but then Randi gets angry. Do you A: give her the opportunity to continue? Or B: continue talking about the thing to make her more mad? Music by White Bat audio

"Screw those dorks and their single stories, I'm gonna tell a story that's actually TWO stories. Or THREE. But dang it! I don't know how to do that!" Hi, we're Media for the Intellectually Impoverished. Has this ever been you? Trying to tell two stories or three, but you just can't get it through your stupid small brain just how to do that? Well we're here to help, with Split Storytelling.  Split storytelling is a tool for your writing toolbelt that will allow you to tell multiple stories at the same time "AT THE SAME TIME???!???" At the same time. All you have to do is watch this episode and you too, can know the power of Split Storytelling. "I watched this episode of Media for the Intellectually Impoverished and I was able to write a story that was actually TWO stories, or THREE in no time at all! WOW, it really works!!" Hahahaha, that's right Timmy, now shut the f*ck up and go back into the closet where dirt like you belongs, you filthy b*tch. Media for the Intellectually Impoverished is not liable for any misuse of Split Storytelling in media that is not a banger. Side effects may include, suddenly being twice as poverished-- intellectually, realizing Tayler sucks, a sudden hankering for dill pickle flavored potato chips, mild to severe dermatitis, and the awful (but probably true) suspicion that your family was replaced by an alien species with the desire to overtake the human race to create an Earth sized Golden Corral.  Music by White Bat Audio Follow us on social media @mftiipodcast, see our faces on Spotify Video Podcasts and YouTube, and email us at mftiipodcast@gmail.com. Enjoy the show!
Putting a character by themselves can create interesting problems for storytelling. How do you keep your audience from getting bored? How do you tell a narrative without much dialogue? How do you characterize you protagonist without people to interact with? Limitations put on yourself like this can level up your story, but how do you do it right? Music by White Bat Audio Follow us on social media @mftiipodcast, see our faces on Spotify Video Podcasts or YouTube, or email us at mftiipodcast@gmail.com, and enjoy the show.

Representation of LGBTQ+ communities in media is few and far between when compared to the vast expanse of all media. Luckily, nowadays, the stigmas surrounding stories of the LGBTQ+ are fading. But 23 years ago, the film But I'm a Cheerleader was released to the public. And then 23 years later, we invited Sophia to talk about it. And then we did.  Follow Sophia on Instagram @sophiacolwell, and watch her story on The Trevor Project here. Sometimes a piece of media ISN'T a banger. But it's important to look at someone else's media and see what not to replicate. Understand the things you can do better. And also find out how that milk got in that thermos. It's GOTTA be time travel.
