Remembering this episode makes me miss Gideon being on the show! How calm and assured he was when he kept hanging up the phone! SUCH a good character. I think what Elle meant by women and children being the weakest members of society is that we are given such little power by society. She was speaking to the structure of society rather than women and children as individuals.
