Have you ever heard that you are too nice before? If that sounds familiar, I am sorry to say you are suffering a classic symptom of Nice Girl Syndrome. The easiest way to define rhis syndrome is "The idea behind this behavior is that you are responsible for other people's feelings." As someone who personally has dealt with this, I apologize to everyone who has taken advantage of you. However today, I will talk to you all about when I I first realized I was suffering from being the nice girl, learning to deal with it, and ultimately beginning to feel comfortable within myself again. (P.S if you are unsure if you are a nice girl, look at this article to help you discover if you are in the same boat as me 🫠) Link: https://www.inc.com/jessica-stillman/are-you-suffering-from-nice-girl-syndrome-5-symptoms.html#:~:text=Being%20terrified%20of%20upsetting%20people&text=If%20that%20sounds%20familiar%2C%20you,responsible%20for%20other%20people's%20feelings. I know the title may seem daunting but hear me out. One of the first episodes I shared on my podcast was about learning to love yourself, however I recently realized that I forgot the most important thing. Before you learn to love yourself, you have to first learn how to prioritize yourself. Some people would say that it is selfish which I wholeheartedly disagree with. As each of us has only one life to live and if you cannot prioritize yourself, how do you expect to grow? Today's episode is all about how I am learning to be selfish in my own life whilst sharing all these tips and tricks with you all! Hope this episode is helpful to you all and don't forget to answer the poll if you want more episode talking about this topic! PSA *With finals just around the corner, I just want remind everyone that your academic studies come first before any social events with friends, work, etc.* Website mentioned in the episode: https://scentered.com/blogs/news/how-to-be-more-selfish Stay safe and know I love you🤍' IG: eveningchatspodcast Email: loacwip@gmail.com 💌eveningchatspodcast
Hello everyone, I hope you guys had an amazing day today :)   *I found this episode that I recorded last semester and wanted to share it with you all :)* I have finally moved into my dorm room 😄! I spent all afternoon organizing my room as well as cleaning up the living room. Today's episode is all about my favorites. I actually listened to urmomashely’s podcast and got this idea from her! I talk all about my favorite YouTubers, movies, books, fashion pieces, and more! While gathering information for this episode, I realized I do not have a lot of interesting favorites, and my brother's comment of my sister and I becoming hermits was slightly true, lol.  I hope you guys enjoy today's episode, and if you would like to send me a few of your favorites, use the contact information below :)   Stay safe and know I love you🤍' IG: eveningchatspodcastEmail: loacwip@gmail.com 💌eveningchatspodcast
"The nice girl is caring, loving and always forgiving. Although these sound like admirable traits, many times it’s at the expense of her own energy, time, boundaries, and happiness. It’s a role that’s been crafted by social pressures and often leads to living a life for others. I believe we need more niceness in the world today, but I think it’s possible to achieve it while still respecting our own boundaries, firmly expressing what we believe in, all while living a life that feels true to us." I hope you guys have a fun time listening to this episode, I saw this video on my feed and thought of creating a podcast episode regarding it. Malama Life's video also discusses smiliar statements, so please be sure to check it out. If you have any suggestions for songs or even episode ideas do let me know!! Long time no see👋  I swear I did not purposely try to NOT post. I have been given the worst luck with finding the best mic to record these episodes with, as of now I am back with using my phone to record these episodes and unable to return the broken mic :/  Today I just mention what I have been up to, my plans for Ramadan, and how I am trying to figure out what my future holds for me. This episode might seem a bit shorter than usual, however just now I will have more episodes coming soon! Hello everyone!  I hope you are having an amazing day today :)   So in today’s episode, I am showing a new side of myself. I am sharing something that has always bothered me but always pushed it in so I wouldn’t tell anyone else. In all honesty, I am slightly embarrassed by this episode, just because I do cry a few times. Yet, I thought me posting this will allow others to be more knowledgeable and, in turn, learn not to ask this question. Can you guys guess what it is before listening to the episode? Let me know by messaging me via instagram or email!!   Overall, I hope you enjoy this episode and hear from you soon :)  Stay safe and know I love you🤍' IG: eveningchatspodcastEmail: loacwip@gmail.com 💌eveningchatspodcast
Hi everyone :)   I asked my sister to join me today to talk all about defining our character and what makes a good friend!  Growing up with immigrant parents, it was hard for us to have friends that could relate to our home life such as not always being available to go out late at night or visit each others houses. Now that we are older and understand our parents concerns, we are able to relate and grow to find friends that can either relate or aren't as demanding.  As well as, discussing specific characteristics pertaining to each of us and how we interact with our friends.  Once again, thank you for listening to today's episode! 💗   If you have any comments or concerns, message me via the social media links below!  Stay safe and know I love you🤍' IG: eveningchatspodcastEmail: loacwip@gmail.com 💌eveningchatspodcast
Hello everyone! I hope your day been spectacular!!   In today's episode, I am joined by my sister and some of my high school friends! We talk all about our thoughts on social media and the influences it has on its users and more!! While we were talking my friend was actually making dinner, so if you guys hear any background noise it just adds some spice to the episode :) Anyways, I am extremely happy that my friends are so willing to join me on my podcast, it means a lot ♥ .  I hope you guys have a fun time listening to us and if you have any suggestions for songs or even episode ideas do let me know!!    (P.S Shoutout to Carolina and Victoria for being apart of this episode🤍) Stay safe and know I love you🤍' IG: eveningchatspodcastEmail: loacwip@gmail.com 💌eveningchatspodcast
Hello beautiful humans!  I hope you guys are having an amazing day today!! I could honestly say that I never thought that my first year of college would be spent all in my childhood bedroom looking at my computer. I know I am not the only one suffering because of the pandemic. So, I brought in a friend to discuss how our lives have changed during this unexpected time. We talk all about balancing family with school, spending time with friends, connecting with professors and extracurriculars exclusively over zoom!   Thank you guys for listening and get up to date information about my schedule on Instagram!!   (P.S This was recording during my freshman year which was during the 2020-2021 year! The reason for me posting this late is because I thought I lost this aduio but, I found it on my drive last week😊) Stay safe and know I love you🤍' IG: eveningchatspodcastEmail: loacwip@gmail.com 💌eveningchatspodcast

Hi everyone!👋 Today’s episode is all about something I have struggled with for the LONGEST and something I feel like I am still working on, which is loving myself no matter what. I talk about the definition of self-love and share the list of "22 Ways to Love Yourself More" from Sharon Martin which I have been using to combat this struggle. I go through this list and talk about which topics I have 100% gotten over and others which I am still not over with as well as a goal I want you guys to accomplish with me at the end!    Link for the 22 Ways to Love Yourself More: https://livewellwithsharonmartin.com/how-to-love-yourself/    PSA: I am not a professional, I am a student. Hey guys!    Today's episode includes my sister as my guest!!  I was really nervous to have her on initially because I always thought I wanted to keep my podcast private. However, with all of you listening and sending me positive messages I thought why not bring in my sister! If you haven't listened to my introductory episode let me briefly introduce my sister to you. She is 21 years old and is also a junior in college like myself. We have honestly always been close, including my 18-year-old brother. I think it's because even at a young age we knew, we could always rely on each other no matter what. All of this to say, Today's episode is all about her aspirations for the future, childhood memories, and much more!!   Question of the Day:  Do you have any siblings? If yes, what would you say was your favorite memory of you guys together?   P.S I know it's been a while since I last posted a new episode but my only excuse is life. It's been a rough couple of months, not going to sugar coat it. But, I have been starting to feel better as well as wanting to upload more content now that school is almost over!!   So again, I do apologize for the extremely inconsistent upload schedule. I will soon post the schedule on my Instagram which will be linked below if you guys want to check it out!!     Stay safe and know I love you🤍’ IG: eveningchatspodcast Email: loacwip@gmail.com 💌 eveningchatspodcast
happy (early) new year everyone!   I hope you guys attended a fun get-together with friends and family! My family and I usually do not attend any crazy parties. All we do is stay up eating ice cream and watch the fireworks on TV as well as sit outside as our neighbors usually release fireworks.  However, with my dad being out of town as well as my mom and myself working the day of new years eve this year is planning on being a bit different. Which is why I am sharing my resolutions for the new year today :) With all that to say, each year is very different and I hope this year we can all  follow through with our resolutions so we can become the best versions of ourselves❤️   Stay safe and know I love you🤍’ IG: eveningchatspodcast Email: loacwip@gmail.com 💌 eveningchatspodcast
Today is all about my parents!  From how they met, to their strikingly different childhoods and much more! This topic has always been an extremely amusing in our family because when my parents first met, my dad thought he saw an angel and told everyone from his friends, coworkers and family members that he was always going to marry my mother. Let me already tell you, my mother did not feel the same way at that time, nonetheless they ended up getting married and have three amazing children!!  Also, I included some more of my childhood as well as high school stories!!  Stay safe and know I love you🤍’ IG: eveningchatspodcast Email: loacwip@gmail.com 💌 eveningchatspodcast
The epitome of every teenager living in a foreign country, has thought what is the "Real American High School Experience Like?".  I can arguably agree that certain things in movies such as High School Musical and Clueless have gotten some things right such as cliques being a thing, athletes such as football players always date either a cheerleader or another athlete. However, there are still many things they have gotten wrong.  Today I talk about my high school experience, and how I spent the majority of that time. I can already tell you that I was the type to spend my time taking AP classes and joining as many clubs as possible so my college applications could look the best they could.  If you would like to hear more from my perspective, let me know!  Stay safe and know I love you🤍’ IG: eveningchatspodcast Email: loacwip@gmail.com 💌 eveningchatspodcast

Hello everyone!  I hope you guys are doing well! With school starting soon, I decided to share some tips I wish I had known before entering college. I am a first-generation college student with few cousins in my age group, so I had no one to turn to about any questions I had. Whether it was about something specific like where I should live on campus, clubs to join, or how to meet new people. Today, I decided to be the person I wish I had when attending university, and share these tips with you guys! I hope these tips are helpful for you guys and let me know if you want a part 2 to this!  Stay safe and know I love you🤍  IG: eveningchatspodcast  Email: loacwip@gmail.com
