Today on the podcast, we’re joined by Keith Getty whose work has become something of a soundtrack for modern congregational worship. Born in Lisburn and raised in a musical family in Northern Ireland, Keith studied classical composition before finding his way into hymn writing. Together with his wife Kristyn, Keith has carried this vision into a wider movement, writing and curating songs that are musically beautiful, theologically rich, and accessible for ordinary churches. From Carnegie Hall to small rural congregations, their hymns have taken on a life of their own, shaping how the church sings its faith. In today’s conversation, we are going to chat to Keith about his book, Sing!: How Worship Transforms Your Life, Family, and Church as well as the Hymnal Sing and why singing is such an important part of what it means to be a church.Show Notes :- Sing!
