Welcome to the Jake Tool E.P. What you are about to listen to is a compilation of stand-up comedy sets performed by Jake Tooley. This E.P. is a mix of high quality and lower quality, in both audio and material. Most of this was recorded on a cell phone placed on the stage stool so take it easy. Tracks range from sold out shows at Helium Comedy Club to small 2 person open mic audiences. So goes the life of a young comedian.

This track was recorded during Portland’s Funniest Person competition hosted at Helium Comedy Club. Jake moved on to the second round and soon after his dreams were thoroughly crushed. Jake talks about Pablo Picasso, Train crashes, Mushrooms & Scented Candles.
Recorded during the weekly Midnight Mic at Funhouse Lounge. Jake spends a few, slightly interrupted, minutes talking about his disdain for literature. The beginning to a recurring theme.
Once upon a time, there was a group of heavily bearded men who put on a show at the illustrious Helium Comedy Club. Jake Tooley has a beard, and thus he partook in the pageantry. He spoke tales of his wildest dreams, his lack of knowledge, phallic unknowings, & psychedelic rendezvous.
This track is designed to give a closer look at the open mic lifestyle. Part 1 was recorded in front of 2 audience members and the host of the mic. Part 2 was that same joke performed in front of an audience 10 times that at one of the best open mics in Portland at Haymaker Bar. 2 vs 20 makes a huge difference.
Diving deep into the culture of a very specific intersection of Portland, Jake talks to a crowd at the Jade Lounge open mic. This one goes out to the locals baby!
