TR8S and RC505, going mental. 29mins live and unrehearsed. This is all about the energy.

I was kinda wanting to revisit what I did in episode 042 (Going full Krista) so this is experimenting with just how far i can push the womp directive on the TR8S. Created only on the TR8S. Large speakers recommended. Heavy drums & ripping bass
I think this is the first time I've tried using the MetalFetishist in an actual set, rather than just experimenting with it. This was TR8S, MF and the Boss RC-303 for samples and such. It's a bit rough in places but I really like the energy throughout.
Unfrotunately because i messed up the naming of the files on the previous two eps and changed it, youtube decided not to pull them across to please check them out on the podcast at 303.co.uk. This is TR8S and the MF once again, but experimenting with trig
an earlier experiment, initially putting the MF with the TR8S but the TR seemed somewhat redundant.
ok so since i got the body synths metal fetishist i've been on a bit of a weird journey trying to find what it works with abnd what works with it FOR ME. These are totally out of order but are some of my experimentations into this realm.

survived another challenging week of vehicular chaos, culminating in moving out of the van and into the bunker (for now at least). Time for some acid then. 1:15hrs acid techno improv mix

Back to basics - why am I doing this? For the ACIIIIID noises of course. This one is for me, what *I* enjoy. so it's a slowly evolving piece with lovely rich layers of frequencies overlapping & doing lovely things. Hopefully the mp3 doesn't mash it up
This is my take on Chappel Roan's excellent Pink Pony Club track which got stuck in my head about 2-3 weeks ago and has been drving me nuts ever since. This is me exorcising it for my mental health. I don't profit from this, pretty please don't sue
I know I know, look I'm fascinated by how both the vox and the bassline don't quite fit into normal patterns but that somehow it works. Idk if I'll ever get bored of it so this may not be the last version. Slightly different style from usual

Testing my new indoor setup - which I don't have to dismantle right after use every time \o/, and I'm making the most of it. This is a pretty wompy mix, testing the new setup, in preparation for some sort of live set potentially

A stompy 11-min mini live mix from one of my many recent wompy sessions
so waaay back in the 1800s when the idea of a techno reactor was first conceived, even then they realised there would be stuff you didn't want... bum notes, missed drops, whatever. Well over time that stuff clogs up your reactor and you definitely don't w

Inspired by a Colin Benders set I kinda loved how he fished around for pitches and sounds while in the mix, and risking making those changes led to a better overall mix. So I figured I'd try relaxing my position on in-mix changes...subwoofer ON

it's not very often I'd get to make this very niche wordplay, but this is a short mix to unwind after fitting my new floor (which happens to also be hard) so I couldn't resist. Here we're back to basics, drum machine, 303 and off we go!

I just re-built and revised my "Entropea" expression controller (now with hold switches), so this is a short test-drive on it. In this case it's running a Roland S1 micro-synth through the bluebox mixer

a slow, somewhat self-indulgent meditation on just the FutureRetro 777, showing off some of the twisted sounds it can make. There's also a tiny bit of bubbling acidity from the TD3
Slowly evolving trancey acid mix from my recent birthday! I did several live mixes that weekend but this was my favourite. It had the TD3 and the FutureRetro 777 just working perfectly together with the TR8S.
