Yes, that's right. You've broken out of that awkward anime phase and into the hustling sexy-best-version-of-your-Asian-self and you're killing it! That's the kind of attitude you'll have after this episode so tune in to hangout with us and comedian, Mike Kim. In this episode we chat about what motivates us to do what we do, being funny as heck (duh, Mike's a comedian), soda addictions, getting the girls (...we wish), building confidence through being our best selves, and so. much. more. You can find Mike across all social media at @mikekimcomedy but for the lazy folks out there like us, here are some quick links: TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mikekimcomedy Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mikekimcomedy YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/mikekimcomedy You can also find us on Instagram at @justasianpodcast. WOW it's been a long time hasn't it? We're back with what's likely to be the final season of the Just Asian Things Podcast and we're happy to start off this final season with an interview with Kevin Wong, one of the co-founders of Lunar, the first Asian-American craft hard seltzer made with real fruit juice and premium ingredients from Asia. Whether you're a seltzer fan, interested in starting your own business, or just looking for a few cool dudes to hangout with on your commute to work, this episode has something for you. Tune in and let us know what you think! You can find Lunar at https://www.drinklunar.com and follow them @drinklunar across IG, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter. Here's the IG link if you're lazy like us :) https://www.instagram.com/drinklunar If you're on the east coast in the US, you can also find Lunar at your local Trader Joes, Whole Foods, and Costco!
Guys can have daddy issues too! Will Chae returns to the podcast to discuss past (and current) problems with his angry Korean dad, the long lasting and huge effects of subtle (and often snide) comments, and the impact of generational trauma—ESPECIALLY from our father figures. While we may fight against it, at the end of the day we just want to make them proud... ... or punch them in the face. Give us a shout on social media if you're enjoying the episode through Instagram @justasianpodcast, or give us an email at JustAsianContact@gmail.com!
Do you have a spending problem? We do too... but is it reeeeally a problem? Heh. Tune in this episode as we complain about problems that are clearly not that big of a problem. If you're like us and can't stop that wallet from emptying itself, then you're going to want to hear this one! Especially if you have a s/o that's equally a spendaholic like you. Yes, that's right - before the actual 'What the Actual F**k Is Wrong With Me' trend on TikTok, we took a Myers–Briggs personality test to get to know each other better. Is it the same thing if we're still brutally honest with each other?? Yeah? Yeah. Okay fine, not really. But hey, we hope you enjoy getting to know us a little better this episode just as much as we enjoyed getting to know each other. Tune in this episode to hang with us as we lay out our thoughts with a sprinkle of smack talk. Cathy Trinh, mental health advocate and award-winning global humanitarian, motivational speaker, bestselling author, and host of the Stay Unmuted podcast joins us for this episode to discuss the trials & tribulations of addictions and sobriety. If your parents ever tried to set you up with someone, you get it. Hangout with us and comedian Joe Vu this week as we talk dating as Asian men. Why does it feel like we're so disadvantaged at times?? We exchange stories, let loose our gripes, and make terrible suggestions that no one should follow. Check out Joe's comedy album at https://joevucomedy.weebly.com/ and follow him on IG @joevucomedy. WE ARE BACK with the launch of Season 2! We kick things off by bringing back fan favorite, Athena Pham, from our 'My Mom Threw A Math Book At Me' episode in 2020. In this episode, we have a slew of stories for everyone to hear from tackling sobriety - to arrests - to what it takes to finally make them damn proud (spoilers, Athena sets the bar really high...). Come listen and hangout with us! If you have your own stories on how you might've disappointed your parents or how they disappointed you, we want to here it so please DM us on Instagram @justasianpodcast or give us an email at JustAsianContact@gmail.com
We're posting a late episode to wrap up 2021! This one has us discussing our perspectives on the reality of getting older with each passing year, how we personally deal with aging, and the implications it has on family. Thanks to all our listeners for tuning in this year as we trialed and experimented with different recording setups, styles, tones, and topics. A special thank you to all those that have stuck around to listen these past 2-4 months despite our random posting cadence! Both of us have been dealing with personal/family matters but it still sparks joy in our hearts whenever we see people tuning in to hangout with us or DMing us on Instagram.  Cheers to a wild 2021 and to more success and growth in 2022! Thanks again everyone!

Why be reflective when you can have someone else call you out on your sh*t?! This episode we attempt to roast each other but as you'll hear, it takes a slightly different direction. In the loose words of Jhené Aiko... 'me time' should be YOU and ME time! OBVIOUSLY. This episode dives into our experiences on the struggles of keeping our identities in a relationship. We expose ourselves even more this week in this introspective episode, discussing some of our past and present bad habits. We ask ourselves and each other what the hell was going through our heads (and why it might've not been the best way of thinking)... but more importantly, how we can learn from those times and grow in better, healthier ways. Tune in this week, especially if you feel like there are insecurities you've been wanting to get off your chest too.  You can support us by sliding into our DMs on social media: Just Asian Things Podcast: www.instagram.com/justasianpodcast   Jon: www.instagram.com/jonqn   Chris: www.instagram.com/c.trizzy   Email: JustAsianContact@gmail.com
