Lydian Brambila is a folk musician from Athens, GA who has been active in the Athens scene for close to 10 years in numerous projects. We talk about their solo project, their other band Outersea, how the Athens scene has changed, the myriad of inspirations for their music, and a Mexican folktale about a mermaid.
Today I interview the bassist and singer of the metal band Scold, Jared Stinnett and Daniel Singletary, respectively. Jared is a longtime friend of mine, so he was a no brainer for this podcast's very first episode. We talk about making Scold's EP, their old band Fear in the Eyes of the Martyr, Jared's time at college and in a Latin combo, next year's Halloween costumes, and the mysterious yellow color on Scold's EP cover.
