As they say, all good things must come to an end. So, it is with a bit of joy and sadness that we are finishing up our 60 podcast, almost 3 year run of Romans Untangled. As we get close to the conclusion of this amazing letter from the apostle Paul, he shows us a bit of his heart. By this time in his ministry, Paul has been very mistreated by many people for his proclamation of the gospel. Words of strong emotions are thrown around today like candy. Something that is likeable is “awesome”.  A new job is “a perfect match”. Even our local weather station has a TOP TEN WEATHER day that they use about 1-2 x per month. One of these words is the word ambition. The Oxford English Dictionary defines it as “a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work.” In this episode of Romans Untangled, we will look at the apostle Paul’s strong desire or ambition that drove his every day. Probably the most difficult thing to do in the church community is to actually love and appreciate people with whom you differ. In Christ we are free. Free from the penalty of sin. Free from the power of sin. Free from the law which condemns us. But what about using our freedom on ‘disputable matters’? These issues in the past were things like dancing, card playing, going to movies and working on Sundays. Now, they are like the use of alcohol, the use of money for personal pleasures, how and what we watch on our TVs. How do we navigate these tough issues?
