Lots of people are divided by different causes or movements. But when we put ourselves into one of those, if it is man made it isn’t perfect. What we need to follow after first and foremost is God, not a movement. Scripture- Matthew 9:37; Matthew 10; Psalm 139 Resources: FaceBook- FCC Young Adults Instagram- @fccya
We’re On a Mission

We’re On a Mission

2022-05-2625:05

As Christians we are set to be on a mission. In this life we can get distracted and taken away from this mission. What we see from Habakkuk is his eyes being reset onto God instead of looking to this world. Scripture: Habakkuk 2-3; Romans 16; Matthew 10; John 16. Habakkuk talks about the ways in which we can sometimes question God. We can trust God to do what is right and good because He is right and good. Scripture- Habakkuk 1; Romans 12:11-12; Isaiah 55:8-9; Job 40 & 41 Resources: FaceBook- FCC Young Adults Instagram- @fccya
Invest in Jesus

Invest in Jesus

2022-05-0323:45

Society today tells us that a good life means being rich and having our needs met by our own doing. That, in doing this, it must be done by any means necessary. But James is correcting us saying that no, we need to treat others right and value what matters most: Jesus. Scripture: James 5 Resources: FaceBook- FCC Young Adults Instagram- @fccya

In life there will be trials we need to face and trials we don’t need to face. Are you in a battle that God hasn’t called you to? Are you avoiding a battle God is calling you to? Scripture: James 1:1-16 Resources: FaceBook- FCC Young Adults Instagram- @fccya
Jude is writing his letter to the early church as he felt compelled to speak on a particular topic. The topic was to have believers contend for the faith by watching out for those who pervert the gospel. The way people can pervert the gospel is similar to that of Cain, Balaam, and Korah as mentioned in the letter and we still see the same issues today. We need to watch out for what is being taught and what we believe because our beliefs lead to actions. Scripture: Jude 1:1-14, Galatians 6:7-...
God is Love

God is Love

2022-02-2427:29

In todays world, love is a concept often misrepresented and misunderstood. We have a choice to understand love in light of who God is, or what we want it to mean. God is the definition of love. Scripture: 1 John 4:7-21, Colossians 2:8 Resources: FaceBook- FCC Young Adults Instagram- @fccya
Many times, both in society and church we let feelings dictate how we see reality. Furthermore, we let it justify our actions. The closeness to God isn’t relative to how you feel, nor should your feelings hinder your love for others Scripture: John 10, Psalm 23 Resources: FaceBook- FCC Young Adults Instagram- @fccya
Listen in to hear the final word of our "Into the Dark" series. In this episode we discuss the Anti-Christ and how we can equip others with the faith and love of Jesus Christ. Resources: FaceBook- FCC Young Adults Instagram- @fccya
The Thoughts of Judas

The Thoughts of Judas

2022-01-1225:31

Revenge vs Redemption

Revenge vs Redemption

2021-10-2842:54

When someone wrongs us, our gut tells us to make things right by getting even. Jesus tells us differently - to turn the other cheek. But does that mean that all Christians are to be pushovers and let things happen to them? Or is there a time and place to "get back" at the ones who harmed us? Scripture: Matthew 5:38-42; Matthew 5:17-18; Exodus 21:24; Leviticus 24:20; Deuteronomy 19:21 Resources FaceBook:FCC Young Adults Instagram:@fccya Website: fccsantamaria.org

Called to Create

2021-07-2025:33

When you look at the world, it can be quite messy. Lives filled with loss due to humanity’s destructive nature. But if God has called us to have life, why do we do the things that bring us death? God wants us to submit to the Spirit to find life and peace for ourselves and to others. If we know this to be true, don’t settle for anything less.
