We discuss how your business can provide support to its people around financial wellbeing. Finances are the cause of so much stress for so many of us, yet education on the subject is poor and there is a lot of work to be done in terms of how you support your workforce around this matter. Join us for a thorough discussion which will include tangible and actionable advice.
My guest speakers will be:
Charlotte Wiseman, Leadership and Wellbeing consultant - Positive Organizational Psychology Consultant
Charlotte Wiseman is a positive organizational psychology consultant and trainer known for her pioneering work in the field of mental fitness.
Building upon a scientific foundation, she combines her pioneering research with her personal experience to embed wellbeing into the culture of organizations – enhancing engagement, reducing burnout and improving staff retention.
It was her own journey overcoming chronic stress, anxiety and depression that first led her to explore applied positive psychology in 2009.
The changes she experienced were so inspiring that she left her long standing career in the fashion industry to pursue anMSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology and Mental Health First Aid Trainer qualifications.
A member of the British Psychological Society and International Positive Psychology Association, she has been featured in the Journal of Public Mental Health and is leading the way for bringing the parity of esteem into the workplace.
Grace Tolley-Smith, Co-founder & CPO, Bippit
Grace is Chief Product Officer and co-founder of Bippit, a financial wellbeing company that provides every employee with their own financial coach to eradicate financial stress, increase financial education and improve financial outcomes to create a fairer society for all.
Grace spent a decade working in financial services, working as an investment consultant to pension scheme trustees and later, as an equity manager, managing a £4bn portfolio. During this time, although receiving a good salary, poor financial habits and emotional spending meant she racked up credit card debt and felt anxious about achieving her future goals, such as getting on the property ladder, leaving her unsettled in her job.
When Grace wanted to use her skills in start-ups in 2019 and switch careers, she knew she needed to get control of her finances and improve her financial wellbeing, but found it difficult to know where to turn or who to talk to. She joined forces with Erich and Sam at Bippit in early 2020, knowing the value that confidential and impartial support can have on mental and financial health, particularly for people who would be turned away by traditional financial advice firms.
The talent war is back and it is fiercer than ever! Not being able to hire the right new people into your business is a big challenge, but an even bigger challenge is losing your best people to competitors!
