Sherm Chester is joined by Brandon Brown from Seacoast Media Group with the focus on the surprising turn of events leading to the upcoming NHIAA Division One Basketball Championship pairings.   Brandon previews the NHIAA  boys and girls hockey championship action and gives kudos to outstanding games and players he has covered this winter.   During the “Two Minute Drill” Sherm billboards the times and  championship locations capping off the high school winter sports season.
A notebook edition of the SSF.   With the winter weather causing changes in the NHIAA tournament competitions Sherm covers the upcoming matchups in girls/boys basketball and hockey and the game schedules.   Coach Bill Taylor joins Sherm to review the Exeter Bluehawk boys preliminary tourney game with Goffstown Grizzlies.    During the “Two Minute Drill”  Sherm gives an update on the Girls Division One Basketball Semifinal pairings.
The NHIAA Division 1 Boys and Girls Tournament Brackets are up and Sherm is joined by Jay Pinsonnault from Seacoast Media Group to break down the matchups.   The talk shifts to baseball and Jay’s article on Seacoastonline.com that highlights seacoast baseball prospects playing in MLB spring training camps.   During the “Two Minute Drill”  Coach Bill Taylor gives his take on the Exeter boys and girls basketball teams heading into the tournament. Coach Taylor will be doing play by play of the games on Bluehawk Media’s YouTube channel.  
This edition of the SSF salutes two NHIAA Division 1 champions The Exeter High School Bluehawk Unified Co-ed Basketball and Indoor Girls Track teams.   Host Sherm Chester gets to interview Unified Head Coach Katherine Nichols and Indoor Track Head Coach Nate Leveille.   The D1 regular basketball and hockey seasons for boys and girls teams are wrapping up and teams preparing for the upcoming tournaments standings.   During the “Two Minute Drill” Sherm acknowledges a new start up media outlet for high school sports coverage in seacoast New Hampshire.
Coach Bill Taylor is special guest on the SSF   Coach gets the last say on the Patriots loss in the Super Bowl.   Talk shifts to the kickoff of the NASCAR season with the Daytona 500 and the new scoring system for the playoffs.   During the “Two  Minute Drill”  Sherm congratulates The NHIAA D-1 Indoor Girls Track Champion Exeter Bluehawks.
Jay Pinsonnault from seacoastonline.com joins host Sherm Chester for a pre Super Bowl rundown of the week leading up to the New England Patriots going after their seventh Lombardi Trophy in Santa Clara California against the Seattle Seahawks.
It’s a big football weekend with the focus on the Patriots in the big game against the Seahawks.   Roger Brown from NHFootballReport.com joins Sherm to discuss that contest but also with breaking news in Granite State D1 football with the resignation of the head coach of the state champion Bedford Bulldogs.   Roger and Sherm also give their opinions on the NFL selection committee’s decision not to induct Patriots owner Robert Kraft or the Pats legendary coach Bill Belichick to the Hall of Fame.   During the “Two Minute Drill” Sherm recommends Jay Pinsonnault’s interview with an 89 year old Maine man Don Crisman who has attended every Super Bowl and intends to go to SB LX this weekend.  Check out the interview on Seacoastonline.com
Jay Pinsonnault from Seacoastonline.com joins Sherm on this edition of the SSF with the emphasis on the Patriots victory over the Broncos and their matchup with Seattle in SB 60 February 8th.   Other topics on the agenda include… The football Hall of Fame snub of Bill Belichick   Two D1 undefeated basketball teams and the upcoming schoolboy/school girl rivalry contest between Exeter and Winnacunnet.   Jay highlights an article about three local students who got the chance to interview Red Sox legend David Ortiz and his upcoming interview with an 88 year old Maine man who has attended every Super Bowl

Sherm has Roger handicap the playoff matchups and the multitude of NFL head coaching openings and then discuss the NCAA National Football champion Indiana Hoosiers.   Roger gives his assessment of new UNH Wildcat head coach Sean Goldrich.   Sherm gives a look at the schoolboy/schoolgirl basketball standings at midseason and during the “Two Minute Drill” he talks about a unique way he viewed the Indiana victory capping off their perfect season.

He moves onto the upcoming NFL playoffs and the sudden decision by Mike Tomlin to leave his long time coaching position with the Steelers. The Red Sox make a major pitching acquisition and the Spring training timetable is announced.

Going into the holiday break host Sherm Chester takes a quick look at the NHIAA standings in Boys/Girls basketball and hockey.   Coach Bill Taylor shares his perspective on the season so far as play by play announcer for the Exeter Bluehawk boys and girls basketball.   Sherm wraps up with “The Two Minute Drill” with the focus on Morgan’s Message.org an organization working to help those in need of mental health services year round.
The biggest SSF  news of the week..Rick Santos announces he is leaving UNH for a head coaching job at the University Pennsylvania. Host Sherm Chester and Roger Brown from NHFootball Report.com talk about the effects on the program and  the appointment of new interim coach  Scott James. The guys talk about the effects of the college player portal and coaching changes on the sport.  Sherm gives an update to the start of the high school basketball season and also a big weekend for the Exeter Bluehawk track teams at UNH. During the “Two Minute Drill” Sherm features an interview with Exeter basketball’s Jeff Holmes as he enters his 29th season as Bluehawks head coach  
The winter sport season is officially underway in the Granite State and host Sherm Chester and Jay Pinsonnault from the Seacoast Media Group have a sneak peek of the seacoast teams. Jay with a preview of his Seacoastonline.com article with Portsmouth Clipper boys basketball standout Derek Swartz and he also shares his research on the local teams and players in boys and girls basketball and seacoast hockey teams as well.   The guys discuss the Patriots success and their post season chances going into their final four regular season contests.   “Hot Stove” baseball talk and the winter MLB meetings in Orlando wraps up this episode of the SSF

The Yukica Award winner for the best football player in the Granite State is announced. The Patriots keep rolling on with another victory. A recap of the UNH Wildcats football season with a loss in the FCS playoffs, and an update on former Wildcat quarterback Max Brosmer in his first regular season NFL start for the Minnesota Vikings.   Thanks from Sherm to all of the Exeter Bluehawk football players, coaches and support team for a successful season….now it's on to Winter Sports !
On this holiday edition of the SSF host Sherm Chester is joined by Roger Brown from the NH Football Report.com and they discuss the results from the weekend of Granite State football action including the Division 2 and Division 3 Championship contests and the D1 semifinals leading up to this weekends matchup between Bedford and Pinkerton wrapping up the fall sports season.   UNH Wildcat football talk is up next with the Wildcats winning streak continuing with a victory in the “Border Battle” against the U Maine Black Bears leading to a postseason FCS tourney playoff with the South Dakota State Jack rabbits on Saturday.   The Patriots and Drake Maye get their props on extending their winning streak and sitting on top of the AFC East conference.   During the “Two Minute Drill”  the guys salute Exeter athlete and St Anselm basketball standout Josh Morrissette on a major career accomplishment.
