This week, Josh and Fabs dive into the end of the “main character” sneaker era — those once-untouchable hype shoes that ruled the game, from the Balenciaga Triple S to Travis Scott’s AJ1s. Sneaker culture has shifted, and it’s no longer about one shoe dominating everyone’s rotation. We talk about how the scene has exploded into a mix of styles — from runners and skate shoes to dress sneakers and hiking kicks — and what that means for collectors, casual wearers, and the brands trying to keep up. We’ll break down why hype isn’t dead, but different… and why that might actually be the best thing that’s happened to sneakerheads in years.
In this episode Josh & Fabs give you a 2025 First Half sneaker report, outlining some of the biggest sneaker trends as well as their top 5 sneakers of the year so far. We then get into our big topic discussing the first half trends we each noticed (21:44) before getting into our Top 5 (33:24)

This week, the boys tackle the big subject of Nike's slowed growth, layoffs, and change in strategy, and how that has affected the Swoosh's cultural relevance. Increased competition, more agile competitors, and a lack of focus on innovation and performance have left Nike playing catch up in some ways, even as the biggest sportswear brand in the world still.
Latest pickups, what Josh and Fabs have been wearing, and biggest releases to look out for are, of course, also on the menu.
