In today's podcast, we have Nikki Stowe, who discusses "Accessibility For You". She explains what it is all about and how people can participate and contribute towards it. As someone who has been a wheelchair user for a long time and also a handler of assistance dogs, I have had the opportunity to visit some fantastic places that prioritize accessibility and understand its importance. However, I have also faced situations where accessibility was inadequate, causing me stress and anxiety when entering unfamiliar spaces and wondering if my needs would be met. Despite these negative experiences, I remain committed to advocating for better training and awareness of accessibility. My journey has shown me that I am not alone, so I founded "Accessibility For You".
