Description

A podcast about Call of Duty on a casual and professional level.

We're two gamers who have been playing Call of Duty for years now and have a passion for it. More specifically, watching professional Call of Duty. The scene is slowly growing with the Call of Duty League being introduced. We are casual players that love the scene and want the CDL to thrive in the future. Our goal for this podcast is to introduce more casual players to the CDL and hopefully resinate the same passion we have for COD in others.

Welcome to episode #294 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional! In this episode, we start off with some news regarding a new addition to the Uncharted series, and discuss whether this is a good or bad move for the series. With reviving/remastering games being the norm, we discuss what this game would look like, and if it’s really necessary for the series to continue on instead of being laid to rest. Next, we talk about a recent dev podcast with some of the developers on MW4 talking about the changes coming at launch for the game, as well as some new additions, including specialist streaks and a new game mode that borrows from CS and Valorant. We give our opinions on these additions, and whether or not this new mode is something good for the game, or a worrying concern for the vision of the series. Finally, we close with our continued zombies journey, as we completed Paradox Junction, and have our eyes forward to Kowakujo. What do you think about the Uncharted series coming back? Do you worry when seeing them continue the series, or do you think it’s a safe move? What were your takeaways from the dev talk on MW4? Are there still main areas of the game that you’re concerned about, or did this talk get you more excited about the game? Finally, what do you think of our zombies journey so far? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Welcome to episode #293 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional! In this episode, we start off with the news that Infinity Ward is moving on from the Modern Warfare series for the time being, with MW4 being their last in the series. We give our thoughts on this move, and what the path forward looks like for Call of Duty. After the past few years of poor fan reception, the question remains as to how they will recapture fan’s attention. We then move onto our zombies discussion, as our journey continues with us talking about the latest map completed and the hardest so far, Astra Malorum. We cover the map, boss, our struggles, and talk about the difficulty of zombies as a whole, and if casual zombies/COD players would be able to complete these easter eggs. Finally, we close with some more CDL rostermania, as we have more insight into the future FaZe, Gentlemates, and M80 rosters. We talk about these potential teams, and the competition it’ll set up for MW4.What do you think about the move away from the MW series by Infinity Ward? Should Treyarch follow the same path with Black Ops, or is that series still solid? What do you want the next version of Call of Duty to look like? With zombies, do you agree that most casual COD players would struggle a lot with the easter eggs, or are they easier than we think they are? Finally, what do you think of the rumored rosters for MW4? Will it be a competitive year, or will it be only a two team league?  Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Welcome to episode #292 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional! In this episode, we start off with the topic around gaming on old consoles, and some of the struggles that players who want to game on these old consoles will be experiencing as support and services continue to ramp down to nothing, particularly with the PS3. This leads into a talk about games that may go extinct due to the playstation store shutting down on the PS3, and no sign of these games being playable on the newer consoles. We then shift to the main topic which has been our zombies grind, as we work our way through completing the easter eggs to close out the game. With Ashes of the Damned now complete, we give our opinions on the map, and our hopes for what’s to come with the rest of the maps BO7 has to offer. We then close out with some massive news in the rostermania world, as dominos are finally starting to fall with these teams making decisions. The biggest one being that FaZe look to be picking up both Scrap and Hydra for the 2026-27 season alongside Simp, and a current vacant spot for their 4th, as negotiations continue. We share our thoughts on this superteam being formed, and what this means for the competition level for next year. What do you think about the extinction of old games? Do you have any games that you want to play but simply can’t because of hardware? What do you think about our takes on Ashes of the Damned, and the easter egg along with it? What are your favorite zombies maps from BO7? Finally, what do you think about the rumored FaZe team? Do you think it’ll be a two team league, or will other teams be able to compete with them and OpTic? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Welcome to episode #291 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional! In this episode, we start off with some stories regarding old games that we now revisit, and the time capsule that they have ended up becoming. With these old games there’s typically issues with the discs themselves, and we share some stories and thoughts on this, as it relates to the ongoing physical media discussion with Xbox and Sony. Xbox has developed a decent workaround in response to the backlash from Sony, and the question still remains; will Sony budge on their stance? We then shift to talks regarding Call of Duty, and the issue of fatigue with the series and potential solutions. With many content creators writing off MW4 before launch, it begs the question if COD is in need of a major change, and what does that exactly look like. Do they take a year off? Do they completely change the style of the game? We give our thoughts on what their next moves should be, and close out on covering our BO7 zombies journey. We are slowly working through the storyline, and give our thoughts on the experience so far. What do you think of Xbox’s response regarding discs? Do you think it will take players away from Sony, or is it not enough? With regards to Call of Duty, what do you think their next move will be after MW4? Will they make a big change, or are we going to continue to see the same game year after year? Finally, have you neglected zombies like us in BO7, or have you kept up with it all year? If so, what do you think about it?  Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Welcome to episode #290 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional! In this episode, we cover our final week of the MW4 beta, and it has been one to remember for the right reasons as compared to week 1. Infinity Ward has been listening to the feedback, and many of the initial complaints have been addressed. We go over these major changes/adjustments that have been made, and draw the comparisons between the first and second weeks. With MW4 now on the right track, the question still remains as to what still needs to be worked on, and if this game is still in danger of being a failure with the fans and community. We give our thoughts on some of the big changes that still need to be made, and some other quality of life changes that we feel will make it more sustainable in the long term. Finally, we close on the news regarding the Boston Breach and the new ownership the spot is taking, with M80 coming in to now be the Boston M80 team, and we are beyond excited for this new chapter for Boston in the CDL. The future looks bright for this team, and we give our impressions and hopes for this team going into MW4. What did you think of week 2 of the beta? Did you play week 1 as well, or was the open beta your first time playing? What do you think of the changes that have been made? Did the game improve or worsen? What are some changes that you feel still need to be made, and will it be enough to bring some old fans back to the series? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more!
