Description

Hi! I'm Dani. It's 2021 and if 2020 taught me nothing else it's that I'm a complete mess. I discovered bullet journaling and my hope is it turns my life around. If nothing else, I plan to enjoy the ride, maybe learn a little something, and chronicle my journey with this podcast.

Now that I've moved through the grieving process after my miscarriage, it's time to get my life back on track. I'm finding myself floating through my days, directionless. This month I'm rediscovering intentionality: intentionality in my phone/social media use, my diet/exercise, my housekeeping and downtime.
Bad things happen to us that rock our world, and it can be difficult to deal with them and move on with life. My miscarriage threw a wrench in my plans and I'm finding it hard to get back on the horse.
I wanted to get this update out sooner but I got the rona and then suffered a miscarriage. It's been a hard month but I'm trying to use some strategies I learned through the gratitude challenge to bounce back. Love to you all ♥️
Welcome to day 14 of the Valentine's Gratitude Challenge. We made it! Today we are celebrating our Valentines. If you're unattached, you can pick whoever is your Valentine, whether it's your bestie, your mom, your kid, maybe your dog. Whoever. Maybe you can reflect about an ideal partner.
Today's prompt is to reflect on your mind. How does your brain power and thought process make your life better?
Today's prompt is to show gratitude for the best day of your life. We reflected on a difficult experience yesterday, so we're balancing it out with something positive.
Today we're going to reflect on a difficult experience and express some gratitude for that experience.
Today we are showing love for our siblings. If you have multiple, you can pick one or all of them. If you had no siblings, maybe you had someone who was like a sibling you can show some appreciation for, or, maybe you can reflect on the best things about being an only.
Day 9 of the Valentine's Gratitude Challenge. Today's prompt is to show some love for your dad. Dad's are just the best, aren't they? A strong male role model is important for both girls and boys. I know in my own family, my husband and I balance each other out in so many ways, and parenting would be so difficult with just one of us. As with yesterday, if your own dad wasn't up to snuff, you can pick a father figure that filled that role. Or maybe you can find one thing your dad did do for you, even if that was to show you how not to treat someone. You decide.
Day 8 of the Valentine's Gratitude Challenge. Today we are showing gratitude for our mamas. I never really understood my mom until I became a mother, and then you just get it. We do the best we can, and we realize our mom did she best she could. I understand some of you may not have had the best mothers, so feel free to recognize a mother figure or someone who stepped into that role.
Today was a very intentional day and I think it was because I was looking for things that I could write down. So I may pick this particular gratitude journaling up.
Today's prompt is to show some gratitude for the last year. We just wrapped up 2021, and while it was no 2020, I'll admit at times it felt like it was trying. But in art you learn that the shadows help the highlights pop. The dark make the light brighter. So what was it about your year that you can say made this a good year?
Today's prompt is to express gratitude for your childhood. It seems like the start of life goes by so fast and once you get into the groove of adult life it feels so far away. We never appreciate youth when we have it, so let's spend a little time today. Here's me as a smoldering teen: https://www.instagram.com/p/CZmSHj3L85X/
Today's prompt is to show some gratitude for a youth. It can be anyone, the only criteria is that they're younger than you. Whereas yesterday we celebrated elders who have experienced so much more than us and have this wealth of knowledge, we can learn so much from young people who look at the world with fresh eyes. Youth is a beautiful thing
Choose anyone older to appreciate today! I chose my paternal grandparents, who taught me to love the people around you while you can because life is short. My post: https://www.instagram.com/p/CZg-66drBZ2/
In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we can overlook our environment. So today I want you to take a moment to appreciate your house, your neighborhood, and your town. What makes it special? How does it add to your life? Follow the challenge on Instagram using #valentinesgratitudechallenge
We're our biggest critics, so this one can be hard to do. But if we can't love ourselves, how can we expect others to love us?? Show yourself some love today. What do you appreciate about yourself? It can be a physical attribute, part of your personality, or something you've accomplished.

Bullet journaling has helped me find meaning and purpose in my life, and taught me to have grace with myself.  Going forward, I want to hear about your journeys! Our trip to Tennessee nearly started off in disaster because of poor planning. When I have resistance toward a thing, I put off dealing with it until the last possible minute. This inevitably makes things worse than what they would be had I just dealt with the matter head-on. My habit trackers are a source of struggle for me as of late. What do I do going forward? I want to hear your bullet journal journey! Come on the podcast and share your story. What does bullet journaling mean to you?
