It's episode 168 and as you'd expect the guys focus on VfB and the boys in brown ... the Cleveland Browns! After Travis mocks Matt for his NFL team winning for the first time in two decades, Ted joins in to chat the rise of the Frauen and the U21's as well as the new UEL kit ... and new font! But before the UEL can be discussed, the fellas look back at the much needed recent win, a win in which a few newbies showed they deserve some spots in the lineup and that Seb has some tough decisions to make going forward.Matt, Ted, and Travis wrap up as one would expect - looking forward to the opening UEL match versus Celta Vigo, the upcoming Bundesliga match at a surprisingly resurgent Koln, and of course, famed NFL center Frank Winters. Yes, THE Frank Winters!
It's a rough one as Travis takes on for the team and goes solo. He chats VfBSVW, slow starts, Schlager, and sloppy play. ALL BY HIMSELF!But also with Kai. It's a "we had to to do this episode to keep our episode streak going" episode, so ... enjoy?
It's a short week so it's a short episode as Matt and Travis briefly chat VfB Celta and KOE VfB ... two big wins in one big week! The guys also take a look at the upcoming match versus the spicey team Basel (get it?!) and hope to take down Fortress Heidenheim as well! All the while mocking one another's MLB teams ... while at the same time mocking their own. Yay Midwestern humor!
Matt, Ted, and Travis return to chat two wins in a short week ... a week that witnessed the 100th birthday of VfB's beloved brustring! In a random and somewhat scattered episode, we chat Nick, the Pokal, the brustring, Derek, VfBBMG, tifo, new signings, and new schedule reveals! It's a long-winded way to say it was a pretty wild week for any of those who love the white and red!
It's the opening match of the Bundesliga season which means it's the opening episode for us, and we bench Matt and Ted for disciplinary reasons and bring in super-sub Hannes to help us break down what was a rather lackluster start to the 2025/2026 season. Along the way the guys shout out the Frauen (who actually won), Daxo and VfBII (who actually got points), as well as the sweet new kits that JAKO has produced (even though we're winless in them so far). They then look at the match and ponder the lineup, the lack of changes, and to continue the alliteration, the role that luck played in the opening loss of the season. It's not all bad news though as Hannes and Travis wrap up with some optimistic looks at the matches ahead - a Pokal trip to Braunschweig and a home match versus BMG - before wondering the question on everyone's mind ... which character from the children's show Bluey would they both play?!
It's Part 2 of our season preview, this time looking at departures and offense! Ted joins Travis and gives his thoughts on the (silly) SuperCup and why the guys are optimistic despite a second straight second place finish! They then dive into the departures and say goodbye to Enzo before pondering which rumored exit would be the most surprising and then break down the offense position by position and, thanks to their overly optimistic nature, leave off with some, well, optimistic signs for the future. Finally the guys take a look at the first Bundesliga match of the season, an away trip to Berlin, but this time to start the season, not finish it!
We're back! Matt, Ted, and Travis return to take a quick peak at what's what when it comes to everyone's favorite Pokal-winning, brustring-wearing, maultasche-eating club from the heart of Stuttgart! In Part One, Matt and Travis take a look at the recent arrivals, from newbie Lorenz to old friend Tiago, before breaking down the strengths and weaknesses of Matt's favorite part of the team, the d-d-defense!And don't worry ... we tried to do some new editing and sound and it's as bad as you've come to love*!Check back tomorrow morning for Ted's look at the departures and the offense as well as a preview of the opening Bundesliga match as the boys in white and red travel to Berlin!
NOTE: Apologies for the first 90 seconds as our audio cut out and the intro music didn't upload correctly. But if you use your IMAGINATION you can IMAGINE the intro music?! How's THAT for professional?!
The first official episode of the new season begins with welcoming back four friends of the show, Hannes, David, Doug, and a bunch of midwestern insects, as they all give us their quick thoughts on the upcoming season!
Part Three takes a quick look back at the dumbest trophy in the world, the SuperCup, as the guys use the emotions from Inside Out 2 to channel their inner rage at losing the dumbest trophy in the world.
Ahem.
Part Four is a look at OFC VfB Americana's survey regarding the upcoming season and the guys chat who's going to be the player of the season, the newbie of the season, and the "that guy is still on the roster?" player of the season.
Part Five wraps up the episode with a look at the opening match of the Bundesliga season, where VfB heads to southern neighbors Freiburg to exact some much needed winning!
All that and some cicades! Enjoy ... if you dare!
In our welcome back episode, we throw out some random questions and provide some even more random answers! Our questions hopefully provide a bit of a look back and look forward to what is sure to be a fun, exciting, and Champions League level season!

It's episode 174 and the fellas are back from the international break to talk a draw ... that felt like a win! Matt, Ted, and Travis start off by chatting about the Frauen's big win and VfB II's draw and then dive into the return match in the Bundesliga, playing versus a team the boys in white and red haven't lost to in five straight! Along the way they talk Finn, Chris, and of course, the man of the match, one Deniz "Hat Trick" Undav! The guys wrap up the episode pondering the status of Silas and what lies in the future as the fellas from Stuttgart look to pack their suitcases for away trips to both Go Ahead Eagles and HSV. And of course they chat Steven Seagal!
It's another home match and that means it's another home win as VfB took on both a UEL and Bundesliga opponent during another busy week before the international break! And to help break it all down is long-time friend of the show David, who joins to chit chat all things VfB! He and Travis quickly look at the UEL win over Feyenoord (check out our collaboration with The Bundesliga Show for a more in-depth reaction here!) before diving deep into the match against (former) bogey team Augsburg. They chat VAR, a gritty win, and the comeback of several players before explaining why Julian Nagelsmann is, in their unbiased* opinion, a dumb dumb. And they talk holiday gifts!
After a week off, we're back! And we've got a lot to talk about, from Europa League matches to Pokal matches, to Bundesliga matches to Mainz ... and then Mainz again! We talk rotation, rotation, rotation, and try to highlight the highs - and lows - of the last four matches!
As Maxi said post-match, the whole team deserved the MOTM award, so we decided to bring our whole team back together post-international break to talk the most recent VfB win, this one on the road and former bogey team WOB! We talk the guys that showed up big - Tiago, Maxi, and Angelo - and if there's still time for some of the other guys - like Chris and Ata - while celebrating some newcomers like El K and Lorenz. Along the way we take a peek at the upcoming matches, including yet another UEL match!
Ted and Travis chat up the last two matches for the boys in the brustring, the loss at Basel in the UEL and the win at home in the Buli. They cover the disappointing second match of the Europa League but spend more time - because positivity is key! - on the win over bogey team Heidenheim, a hard-fought, well-deserved victory that puts the fellas in a top four spot going into the international break. Which of course they whine about. Oh, and of course they ponder the big questions of the day ... like who would watch the NFL in Europe, especially when it's the Vikings and the Browns, and who in their right mind would import American beer for said game?!Make sure to catch our episode post-Basel on the Bundesliga Show: https://www.youtube.com/live/DKg1ppVcpFc?si=2oogS8Dmw3ghtkGA
It's Matt, Ted, and Travis for an hour long "whhhhhhhat" just happened episode as we try to break down what is going on with our VfB after three Bundesliga matches. We chat SCFVfB, Ted's cat, Matt's refusal to sit down, and Travis' kolsch. And that's ... pretty much it.But we do it for an hour!
It's the final episode of 2024/2025 and it's grading time! In one of our longest episodes ever (!), Matt, Ted, and Travis give out final grades for players and management alike and like most report cards, there are some surprising results that make you want to call the principal's office! They then wrap up with some brief goodbyes and hellos before saying auf wiedersehen for the summer! So give the fellas a listen if you want to find out who scored the highest grade, who brought down the averages, and who is being held back!
It's episode 161 and ... oh come on ... what do you think we're gonna talk about?!
While Matt is on assignment looking for VfB's next big steal from Belgium, Ted and Travis take a break from the usual program and break this week's episode into four topics - the Frauen's meteoric rise to the second tier, VfBII's surviving in the third tier, VfB's win that kept RBL out of Europe for the first time in that club's history (!), and of course, the final match in all of Germany, the Pokal final versus the city that apparently doesn't exist. As nervous as they are, the guys look at the history between these two clubs and the advantages both sides bring into this one and why they're hoping history from almost three decades ago repeats itself!
It's episode 159 and Matt and Travis talk about a much needed home win that ended a way-to-lengthy losing streak that, unfortunately, came at a cost. Along the way they talk the Frauen, VfBII, Pascal, Nick, Maxi, and of course, the biggest topic of the weekend, Demi's new blonde hair. Oh, and Ange and his ankle. That, too!
After a weekend off, Matt, Ted, and Travis return to talk about a rare VfB win and ask a basic question - was this performance good enough to give confidence heading to the Pokal final? Of course, because it's these guys, it takes them 44 minutes to attempt to answer said question, but along the way they shout out the Frauen, VfBII, Belgian beers, and, of course, rowing accidents.
