Welcome everyone to ShreyaMusings, in this episode we are going to talk about feelings and gestures. Parents as friends. Here is a poem I wrote: When they are no longer your enemy May break their shell with your demand Before your eager feet, the lances. Keep your peace! and leave the altar, And bless your soul with the veils! Make the sweet gulf of sacrifice! Bloom the new earth to the eyes! Bloom the new and blighted flowers! Think on your blooming every hour! Keep your rosy dawn and shine! After all they do they just ask for your presence, some love and some respect Good and true— as your mother and father Went to some parent, of a great delight— Making the young mind like a little child; Making the young heart so happy, so beautiful. - Shreya. Her name, her identity, why does it change? Blue as the truth, as a living sea. Sure as a shade of a lone way strange, Faint and estranged the life mystery. Deep within the heart of a lone bird, Lifting its perilous pall of air Black and mock and silent and unheard, Soft in the tomb of a dark despair. Death has the gleam of the morning light. Earth is a memory of the night; Before the sun of earth is alight; See, the bright sun comes in our sight! Pale is the sky in its purple shine. White comes the day with its silent eye. Wild and solitaire! thy soul divine! Here in the tomb the great hope must die. Still in the tomb the great hope is spread, Waiting the hour for which it bloomed! Yet, though the gardener blend, it bled, Gave a soft sigh to the lipless tomb. Inspired by Georgia Douglas Johnson.
