Developing self awareness, understanding our emotions, and learning how to regulate them can lead to really positive changes in our personal lives and relationships.  Like learning a new language, this takes time, practice and commitment, but it's never too late to start. Listen in to learn the roots of our emotional disconnect, the unhealthy habits we can develop to suppress our emotions, and ways in which you can overcome those tendencies and begin self-regulating. Intuition is with us all the time, it's like our internal Sat Nav. We describe it in many ways...trusting your gut, your senses, having a hunch, the list goes on. Essentially though, it's your superpower! That power of direct inner knowing without interference from the mind. However, our conditioning can lead to us to disconnect from our intuition. We begin to not listen to or trust it, which can lead to us saying yes when we want to say no, for example. So how do we define intuition? How do we tune into it? And how do we recognise the difference between intuition and fear? Let's dive in! Got a question or story to share with us? Reach out at hello@julia2.com

A short introduction to Julia² and the Knotty Topics Podcast.
We may have come a long way, but mental health is still a knotty topic that's not really openly discussed without fear or judgment. Negative or discriminatory attitudes still hold us back from seeking support when we need it. So, how did we get to where we are today? We look back at the origins of stigma around mental health and talking therapies and share some of our own personal experiences to help raise awareness and open up discussion.
