She is a leader in her industry and known as a passionate forensic accountant, who is truly in her clients’ corner. For example, it can be upsetting to see the financial proof of when an affair has started, seeing the purchase of things like Tiffany Jewellery. This episode I speak Sarah Jones, Principal of Illuminate Law. Sarah is passionate about family law and helping people through one of the vulnerable points in their life: divorce. She feels disputes often are about a breakdown in communication. She has seen growing up that creativity can make frugality an ingenious endeavour. As a family lawyer she has tips on how people can navigate relationship breakdowns better and outlines the minimum knowledge you should have about your partner before you get into a long-term relationship. She sees divorce as the end of one aspect to a relationship. When children are involved, she feels that people should see it as a new relationship because successful co-parenting requires communicating and respect. Sometimes has to deliver the cold, hard truth that how a client wants to live financially after the divorce, may not be possible.
