In this second episode, find out about the trial of Jeremy Bamber and the White House Farm murders. This is an opportunity to understand what the key prosecution and defence arguments were. Narration, Dee Sadler.
This timeline of events on the evening of the 6th of August and until the afternoon of the 7th of August, enables a more accurate perspective of what happened. All timings come from police documents and Home Office files.
Why was the silencer so important to the prosecution? This episode covers the issues surrounding the fact that two were recovered from the White House Farm. The first was obtained by the police, and the second was found by the beneficiaries of the estate. The jury believe it contained Sheila Caffell's blood group, but they didn't know that the blood also matched Robert Boutflour, Jeremy Bamber's uncle who testified against him and stood to benefit financially from a conviction.
A grey hair was found attached to the silencer which was found by the relatives of Jeremy Bamber, but it disappeared in the care of police and never featured in evidence. However, it was brought in as 'evidence' at the trial and even the judge brought it up when addressing the jury.
The jury asked the court if Jeremy Bamber's uncle, Robert Boutflour had financial motive to lie, they weren't told about how he altered Jeremy's grandmother's will and the diversion of the estate to his wife which happened before the trial. They also didn't know his blood was an exact match for Sheila Caffell.
The truth about Sheila Caffell's Mental Health, care for her children, medical history, foster care and her ability to use a firearm.
Yvonne Hartley and Philip Walker from JB Campaign Ltd (JBIC) discuss the 10th of March 2021 submission to the Criminal Cases Review Commission.
Julie Mugford was Jeremy Bamber's girlfriend at the time of the shootings. She gave evidence against him at trial. Much of her evidence was held under Public Interest Immunity (PII) and Julie had a long string of criminal acts which the jury did not know about.
The statement of Farhad Emami recounts how he witnessed Sheila Caffell in a psychotic episode before the shootings at White House Farm. Featuring Chris Yapp.
Witness Helen Grimster's statement about Sheila Caffell. Featuring Darcy Harrison.
What really happened inside White House Farm on the night of the tragedy where 5 people died? This account is based on all the available evidence. Featuring Dee Sadler.
Your questions answered with Campaign Team members Yvonne Hartley and Heidi Hawkins. Including: What is Jeremy Bamber really like? Did he hate his sister and parents? Did he wear make up and dress up on the farm? And did he go on an expensive holiday to France and indulge in sex, drugs and drink?
An actor, Chris Yapp, reads the statements of Sheila Caffell's psychiatrist Dr Ferguson.
Dr Ferguson was a consultant psychiatrist who treated both Sheila Caffell and Paul Padget-Lewis, both mentally ill patients who were released from hospital care despite serious mental health problems. Both went on to kill people in shootings which could have been avoided.
Was Julie Mugford a young woman manipulated by others around her? Or was she the one in the driving seat when is came to accusations in the Jeremy Bamber case? In discussion are Philip and Yvonne reviewing the facts.
Jeremy Bamber's sister who died at White House Farm, was found to have a bullet in her neck and another in her head. One of them, PV/20 was described as fragmented but somehow became whole again for the trial.
The jury asked if Ann Eaton and the relatives had motive to lie, they weren't told any of the information in this podcast which indicates that she did.
Sheila Caffell was, according to Essex Police, found with two gunshot wounds to her neck. Evidence in this weeks episode suggests otherwise.
