Description

Welcome to Let Him In. This broadcast is inspired by all those incredible people whose work is an extension of their ministry. Some people believe work is only a means to an end – some even view work as a curse. Work brings purpose to our lives and allows us to showcase the talents and abilities that God has gifted us with. Work is not a curse. Work is a blessing. God equips us and then calls us to use the giftedness He has blessed us with. His plan for us is this: Enjoy your work so much that most of the time, it doesn’t even seem like work! Donations: www.ExcelLearning.academy

Alyssa Dewitt-Davis is a third grade teacher at Farrell Elementary. Her love for kids shines through everything she does!  Want to know what a day looks like through the lens of a passionate educator?  Listen in!
This week’s podcast is one of our favorites!  Alan Branch, detective in the Crimes Against Childrens Unit for the Arlington Police Dept shares his story of being husband, Dad, and having one of the toughest jobs in the world.
In addition to the aesthetician you’ll hear about in our first podcast, I’ve worked with, networked with, and come in contact with so many people – from waiters and waitresses to doctors and nurses - who are using their work as an opportunity to minister to a hurting world.  They will inspire you, but even more than inspiring you, they will lead you to think:  What’s my purpose and how should I be living it out? So often, we compartmentalize life.  For example, we wear our Mom & Dad hats, our Adult Child hat, our Professional hat, our Friend hat, and then our Sunday-go-to-church hat.  Although each of those roles are different, we are the same person.  And if we are Christians, our Christianity must be lived out in every area of our lives.  Our core values and beliefs – our lights – should shine so bright that the whole world will see and, someday soon, the whole world will know. Until the whole world does know, let’s join together, shine His light, and Let Him In.
