Description
Podcasts in which I will be discussing baseball. More specifically, rules and umpire-related topics. It is my goal to help the baseball community understand more about the game and see the umpires in a different light than what is shown on TV.

The Standing Committee on Athletics for the UIL is having a meeting next week and will be deciding on if proposals should become policy. In this episode I give you my take on the proposals being put forward
In this second part of the double feature I will cover the five things I have attributed to helping me overcome the issue of having a young appearance as a sports official.
Using social media is a great way to get the word of umpiring out and about. The part that needs attention is how we go about using it and the different approaches we can have to it.
I hope you haven't missed me too much! I come to you today with a story of the best game I have umpired to date. Next episode will be covering Instagram as a tool for teaching rules of the game.
Spring break has ended and now district has begun. In this episode I will take you through some of the unusual and at times downright ugly moments from the past two weeks of baseball I experienced.
The news of my death (if there ever was any) was...greatly exaggerated. But it has been two weeks and I have missed y'all! Some things that have kept me distracted from the podcast delayed this episode clearly. For this I apologize. In this episode we will discuss some of the games and happenings therein that I have experienced as well as that of my mentees who, I am proud to say, have both shown to be enjoying the season and are doing well thus far. Don't forget to send in any questions you have through the messaging link below!
In this episode I will take you on a tour through my scrimmages and first 4 games this season and cover scenarios that I encountered in the field.
With my being out of town next weekend, this is the last episode of chapter meeting coverage until next year. We are nearing the start of the season and once that happens, we will have no shortage of things to talk about. So, next week's episode will be going over some caseplays in the rulebook so we can gear our minds towards playing action decisions.
Took me a while to get this one out but hopefully it is worth the wait. I had a sick girlfriend that I didn't want to disturb as she rested. This episode will obviously inform you on the proceedings of our fourth chapter meeting.
I am home from the state meeting in Dallas this past weekend. I had a great time meeting people from other chapters and my own chapter. I won't bore you guys with the breakdown of what we talked about unless I had found it particularly interesting. So I will be taking you through the events of the weekend from Friday to Sunday.
Hoping everyone had a great New Years' and will continue to have a great year! Today we looked at the rules of pitching once again as we move forward towards the TASO state meeting! Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
After completing the mechanics test the first time through, I speed ran through the two tests with my rulebook in hand to secure a higher score of 94 on the rules test and a 100 on the mechanics test. I then went through and gave all the correct answers to the questions.
This test whooped me but this is just an analogy of what can happen on the field if an official doesn't know the rules. This test serves as more than a qualifier but as a gateway that will not open up and feed you to the wolves.
In this episode we discuss what transpires before the game starts. Included is requirements for balls, bats, uniforms, the field, and the umpires.
It is time for me to go back and remaster the first season of my podcast. I haven't heard of any pod-casters doing this but I felt an obligation to my listeners to give them the best experience they can get from me.
I found my old outro Soundclip! We are back in business baby!
It is time to start getting your mind focused back on baseball with local chapter meetings. In these Chapter Meeting episodes I will cover what happened during our meetings while also throwing in some tips and news if I have any.
As we approach the state meeting and our local chapter meetings, I thought it best to reach out and inform everyone in Texas about where and when the state meeting will be held. And I couldn't forget about my nation/world-wide listeners so I also included rule changes that will be effective 2023 for the NFHS rulebook.
I am back from my hiatus and ready to begin recording episodes again. The chapter has kept all of us busy working up to six days a week and it has paid off because I was able to call in the play-offs!
The weather here in the DFW knocked out the games I was supposed to have today so I figured why not make an episode and connect with the listeners?
