Written by Samuel D. Hunter and directed by Darren Aronofsky, THE WHALE is a 2022 film based on Hunter's stage play of the same title. Despite an incredible performance by Brendan Fraser, which won him an Oscar, the movie falls short of having an impactful message about... anything. From its confused plot, lame dialogue, and the film's wildly fatphobic perspective, this could be among the worst Oscar-winning movies of all time.
