Teachers like Joyce Meyer and Beth Moore promote a form of absolution to sexually abusive parents. I would argue that absolution is not theirs to give.
There is so much chatter within religious circles about forgiveness. Almost to the point of piety or self-righteouness. As if to say, "Aren't I so good." My aim is not to be good but Godly -- and I assure you there is a big difference.
My thoughts recorded here . . .
1) Police Case: PI brings my file to the Vancouver Police Department. They open a case in 2008. My father dies in 2010, VPD closes the case.
2) The Grave: Pictures of the the attempted excavation of the dumpsite where the body still remains;
3) Recording of Visit with the Accomplice: The actually recording where I go visit Craig Holbrook in an attempt to gain his help. He never denies the reason for my visit, but simply tells me multiple times to let it go; that he wouldn't remember her "if he was married to her" because it was a long time ago." He tells me, "I don't have to do anything. Just let it go."
Would you let it go?
