The Pistons are on the verge of a historic losing streak and though the season is essentially lost, it's not as hard to fix this team as you'd think...
While the Pistons start to free agency has been underwhelming, it doesn't mean the moves that made were bad. Grabbing Joe Harris' expiring deal and getting Monte Morris essentially for free could turn out to be a good start to the summer.
The Pistons walk away with 2 defensive studs in Ausar Thompson and Marcus Sasser. Free agency is around the corner and with $30M in cap space with the goal to win games this season, Troy has his work cut out for him.
With the draft on Thursday night and free agency soon after, the Pistons are in a prime spot to take advantage of many possibilities. Between the draft, trades and free agency, there are about a million different combinations of moves the Pistons could make. I go through 4 reasonably realistic scenarios that I would be happy with.
A week and a half to go before the NBA draft, and the Pistons are loaded with $30M In projected cap space this off-season. There are many ways to use the money within trades and free agency, and the Pistons are one of only 7 teams with projected cap space. I go through some possible trade partners and some of the overlooked free agents of this class who would fit right in.
Ladies and gentlemen, we got our guy! The winningest coach In the NBA over the last few years is coming to Detroit. The Suns team he took over jumped from 19 to 34 wins the season he got there. Why not us?
It isn't going to be Wemby or Scoot, but the Pistons are going to be in a position to draft a difference maker with the 5th pick. I'm looking at 4 great options who fit right in with the core of Cade/Ivey/Duren.
The lottery gods hate Detroit, but with a core of Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, Jalen Duren the number 5 pick and $30M in cap space, it's not all bad....right?
Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, Saddiq Bey, Marvin Bagley, Isaiah Stewart, Killian Hayes, Isaiah Livers, etc, etc the Pistons have young, promising team for the first time in forever. How much of a jump should we expect from last season?
The Pistons have had a rollercoaster of a rebuilding season. We sat through a brutal first half of the season, but we've been rewarded with a really fun team in the last few weeks. Cade Cunningham is the rookie of the year. The future is bright. Things are getting fun again.
The Pistons didn't quite go undefeated during the summer league, but lead by number 1 pick Cade Cunningham, there was a lot to like from this team in Las Vegas. Troy Weaver's summer of transactions seems to be winding down after re-signing Hamidou Diallo, now it's all eyes ahead towards training camp.
Draft week is upon us, and with the number 1 pick, it's going to be an exciting week for the Pistons... I had to come out of my hiatus for this. I'm joined by Tyler Dunne (@TDunneMUFC) to discuss the Pistons catapult back to relevancy.  I'm also joined by special guest Noah Abramowitz from I Got It (@igotitauction), to discuss their exciting partnership with the Detroit Pistons, utilizing NFTs and the new digital world to bring new fan experiences to life. You won't want to miss this.
The NBA's year long 2019-2020 has finally come to an end. The Bubble worked, the Lakers won it all, and now the off-season fun begins for the rest of the league. The Pistons have a lot to accomplish in this crucial summer. Follow @PistonsThoughts on...
With Blake Griffin undergoing season ending surgery and Andre Drummond potentially being moved before the February 6th trade deadline, the Pistons have their eyes toward the future. Rookie Sekou Doumbouya is showing he belongs in his first 4 NBA starts.
The Pistons sit at 4-9 after 13 games to start the season. Injuries, poor defense and turnovers have got them in this position. Is the hole too deep?
9 games into the regular season, the Pistons sit at 4-5. They've played all of their games without Blake Griffin, and a large chunk without Reggie Jackson. There's been some good. There's been some bad. And there's been some ugly.
With media day today, and training camp upon us, we take a look at some of the rotational battles and roster decisions the Pistons have in front of them. The long summer is over!Follow @PistonsThoughts on Twitter
It's been a busy summer for the Pistons. The front office has made some great moves with limited financial flexibility and it's time to recap with special guest Tyler Dunne!
